work-what did you tell them?

Hello All,

I'm waiting for a surgery date for LB.  At this time I don't plan to tell anyone, not work or family.  I'm not sure why becuase I'm busting a gut with excitement.  I'm a bit of a hypocrit as I have in the past bad mouthed WLS as being dangerous.  However, after losing 60 pounds on WW and regaining it, I'm at a crossroads in my life where I know that if I don't get some serious help they'll need a king size coffin to put me in.  This is my last hope and I'm feeling good about it.  Okay, back to telling people.  My husband thinks I should keep it to myself, but I honestly know that's because he fears I'm going to to fail.  Possible, I know those that have.  But I refuse to let that into my head.  There is one coworker who had LB done 6 weeks ago and she knows I'm in the process, and there is one friend in another state that knows I'm in the process.  We'll see, the jury is still out for the final  verdict.   But I think since LB has a slow losing rate I can get away with out anyone knowing.  We shall see.

So far I have only told my office manager and one of the other ladies in my office because she questioned me if something was wrong cause I kept having so many doctors appts....lol

But I do plan on telling people on a need to know basis. For a long time I dont think I told anybody because it really didnt set in that this was a reality for me or it was actually going to happen. Now that I know it DEF will be happening. I will be telling people that will be affected by my absense pretty soon and I am going to be honest, because I am hoping they will be very supportive.
