does anyone use one? I bought one because I was curious as to how far I walk and because my now former PCP used to tell me to exercise more and I tried to explain to her that I exercise a lot, I walk a lot and betwen her and my boyfriend they convinced me I needed to walk more...so to prove to him and myself how far I do walk, I got one, well,  it is only 9:00 in the morning and between what I do at home and getting to work, and the walking I do here at work, I have walked 1.11 miles already....

Hmm.. did we have the same PCP???  I bought one when I joined Weigh****chers. In fact, I bought it at a meeting.  However, my PCP then was critical of the type of walking I was doing.  He harped that it had to be at an 'aerobic pace' and that some walking is better than no walking, but it wasn't doing what I needed unless I was getting my heartrate going and keeping it there for 20 minutes.  Humpf.  There are fancy pedometers that measure that stuff too.

I think it does matter...i think sometimes that people just want to try to make you feel bad....and with my boyfriend...he comes home and lays on the couch watching t.v all evening...
