3+ THINGS FOR TUESDAY!!!
Today, I'm grateful for:
1. Closure - Last night, my brother brought Mickey the cat home and we buried her. I'd bought a plastic box and some really soft blanket material with pictures of cats. We put her in the blanket and surrounded her with her fave toy, treats and food. I had KB each help their Dad put a shovel of dirt in the grave and then we each stood there and said what we loved most about Mickey. Mine? That she kept the house mouse-free!!!! LOL!!! Hopefully, they'll start to heal now.
2. That I've lost 11 pounds since last Monday. I'm sure a diet by stress is NOT what DVR intended, but for right now, I'll take it.
3. Hearing from old friends - Yesterday, I heard from a friend in Texas that I hadn't heard from in a while. He's 54 and is getting ready to compete in his first full Ironman Triathalon - the temps in Dallas have been hovering around 108 degrees!!! YIKES!!!
Okay, your turn!!

Mouse free ??? I wish I could teach that trick to Lefty, though at this point he's too geriatric to catch mice. Poncho was my proud mouser!!!
Remember those 6 pounds down a few weeks ago??? they found their way back to my scale, so I'm chipping away at them once again.
Having been to Dallas in August .. OMG . is he out of his mind ??? I guess when you live there you get used to it, but it is DANG hot there!!!!
1. knowing who my friends are and being able to give and receive unconditional love and support
2. a job that I love though after a day like yesterday when nothing went as planned and I STILL haven't got that project completed and off the list I wonder WHY I love it!!! And now, I've got to send the list of things we would like 'fixed' back to the vendor to see what they can do for us to make the new application work like the old application.
3. Being happy and confident with who I am.
Have a wonderful day!
Hugs & smoochies, Mo
Comparison is the thief of joy!
If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished. Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago. I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits! Wherever you are in your journey ... It's ALL good!!!
Hey Moie -
Yep, Mickey was a mouser. In fact, after she was gone, I opened the laundry room door to find a 6 foot one curled up like a baby on a comforter, dead as a, well.......dead as a mouse!!! I believe it was Mickey's parting gift to me!! YIKES!!
Oh, yeah, my friend is nucking futs!!! I am telling you - there is not one ounce of fat on this man - he's got an 18 pack.
Yes, your friends know and love you and love you and love you!!!
And, in case I forgot to say it....I love you!

Yesterday ended a little tough and more bad news this morning already... but I am grateful
1) that my brother will be coming home from Afghanastan early
2) that my daughter is over her stomach flu; and
3) the AC in my car is finally fixed (AFTER four years!!!)
Going to try to zap those problems right out of my head today...
