alright folks I'm like Cira.....I have to have this thread to be held accountable. Although I don't stray too much from my diet, I think i need to increase my protein intake a bit which will start today.

b - three strips of veggie bacon and oatmeal
s - protein bar
l - protein bar
s - handful of dry roasted peanuts
d - spicy black bean burger with a slice of ff cheese and mustard
s - protein bar

all my vits and I don't think I made my mark on the liquids yesterday. I'll do better today since I'm out of protein bars, I'm going to have shakes today instead.

I'll have to try it.  Regular bacon is too damned fattening at 100 calories per strip.  How does the veggie bacon compare to turkey bacon in calories?  Do you know?

I'll have to look that up when I get home! They actually have a very good variety of breakfast meats....like sausage links and patties (I can't eat the patties though.....they come back up for now). I also got some vegetarian chicken tenders..but after the first one, I haven't tried them again because it wouldn't stay down. The bacon mushes up real easily as well as the link sausage.

Regular sausage is something I have trouble with, but mostly with the links.  I think it's the grade of meat.  It gets hung up and won't pass through my band. The further out you get the more luck you'll have with some foods that don't work now though.  Then again, I still can't eat scrambled eggs!

I guess everyone is different. I've been eating scrambled eggs since I could go on soft foods and haven't had a bit of trouble with them....of course I to make them kinda wet though and I put mustard on them so that may be a difference too.

ok...I got the box in front of me......TWO strips of vegetarian bacon from MorningStar Farms HAS 60 calories, 4.5 grams of fat, 0 cholesterol, 230 mg sodium, 15 mg potassium, 1 net carb and only 2 grams of protein. so not much protein there but great tasting with my eggs or oatmeal

Cool, thanks Aaron!  Louis Rich turkey bacon (for 1 oz.) is about the same in calories AND protein.  You'd think it would be higher in protein for the turkey huh?
