1. One more day until I go to Boston for the weekend.  I'm driving up there for my nephew's 4th birthday party and to see my new niece who was just born 6/13.

2.  Free lunches. lol  We're celebrating a co-workers birthday today and our department always buys lunch for the birthday person.

3.  A productive week at work. I have gotten quite a bit done this week as far as little things I've been putting off but want cleared up before I am off for my surgery.

Have a wonderful day everyone!

I love driving up to MA.......I go there to visit friends on occasion....it's always been a nice drive.

Free lunch? I need to come and work at your place!!! Now we have the occasional pizza party sometimes but they are very few and far between LOL

I bet you are getting so excited about your surgery!!!

I don't mind driving but wish I had a co-pilot for this one. Dave can't go because of too much school work, although I am taking his daughter with me.  But she's 11 so can't really help with the driving. lol

Today we are ordering from Longhorn. We already passed the menu around at 8:30 to figure out what we are all having..pretty sad huh? lol

My surgery will be here before I know it!  I'm excited now, hopefully I won't start getting too nervous.

LOL I used to think of what I would have for lunch the night before! I'm so glad that habit is gone now. I think for me, I was excited at first then my excitement waned a bit to just sheer impatience LOL I was like "gimme the freakin knife and I'll do it myself!" LOL

Greetings All,

I have to agree with a lot of the thankful items today, especially pay day. Mine is spent too. The mortgage comes out of this one!

1 - I am excited for this weekend. It can't get here soon enough. I am visiting with my twin nephews, whom I don't get to see often enough. I also will be kayaking again. This time, we are kayaking with a guide for a "sunset cruise". This will be fun!

2 - New restaurant experiences - Last night I went to dinner with some co-workers at a restaurant in Columbia called the Mongolian Grill. While I did not really get my money's worth, it was great because you build your meal yourself. it is a buffet, all you can eat, where you assemble the contents of your meal in a bowl, raw. You then drop it off to the cook, who stir fries it. The variety of ingredients, including the sauces and seasoning was extensive. While you are waiting for it to cook, there is the salad bar. They also had a very fresh chicken soup (with no noodles). We all had a lot of fun experimenting.

3 - Trying new combos from the closet - Today I am wearing a lightweight jacket that I made myself many, many years ago, but couldn't really wear. I had retrieved it from storage and had it in my closet for a few months now. I have always loved the fabric. it is very comfortable (now). And I am finally getting some use of it. As Martha would say, it is a "good" thing!
