I guess I had not realized that some of the recent discussions had gotten so bad that anyone would consider discontinuing their participation. We are a diverse group of people. As such we each bring opur various personal complexities to the table. Yes, we have mu*****ommon. That is what binds us together. But we also have all of our life experiences good and bad that make us individuals, the person that we each are.

It is part of the human dynamic that some of us will strike a chord with others that is more meaningful than others, that "connects" more than others. It is not a good/bad thing. it is just human nature. But that does not mean that we cannot find value in each person or their contribution.

I learned a long time ago, that one of the disadvantages of the written word is that the tone can be inferred by the reader. Intent can be easily misunderstood. We also talk almost every single day. As the result, the various things that our going on in our lives may exhibit themselves in the words that we choose for that particular day. The words that I am choosing right now, could be rubbing someone the wrong way, even though that is not my intent.

I guess it is my hope that we can all go on from here. i truly value each and every member of this board and want to continue to hear from you and speak to you. From what I have observed there is something very special about this group of people that I would hate to lose.

I couldn't agree with you more Debbie!!!! I have been an internet chatter for gosh 15 years and I've gotten pretty good and trying to show my emotions when I type things because I want the reader to know exactly what I'm feeling, thinking etc......I just try to be as real as I can. However you are right that even with the limited amount of emotion is in your writing (I mean one can write so many smiley faces LOL) the reader has to interpret that as such and many times the reader just doesn't get it.

Well put, Debbie! I am out of the loop about whatever drama ensued, but I like the way you said this. We are lucky to all have each other. This is such a valuable resource for support.

The Sex board has no more drama than real life...get over it...I mean really...and YES I am from "that board" and I post here from time to time.

Not sure what your drama consisted of but....**** happens, people argue, feelings get hurt, and then you move forward...it seems as though that's what you're trying to do...I just don't think you needed to make reference to the sex board....R&R has MUCH more drama than we do

Actually the Sex Board scares me, dammit!! I was using it as an example. Most of you ARE friends on there, like we are on here, quite the opposite of the R&R Board.
