The Debate-

Thank god for lap tops and wireless internet...lol...I am an internet junkie, I admit it.  This is pretty much how I keep in contact with my family and friends.  The best thing I like is finding free stuff websites.  Love those free samples...

I would start going a little crazy after a few days.  However, last year I went way for 7 days and was okay with it but I was with my family and a group of friends.

Are you coming on 8/17 or 8/22?  I'd like to meet another Frederickite!

I can't do either date .  On the 17th which is Cira's day, I have to work.  On the 22nd which is the big old 21st birthday party I will be gone for my husband's 25 year reunion.

I am so sad to be missing both days.

It would be nice to meet up sometime though.

You CAN do it, I know you can! 

You'll be having too much fun on your trip to even think about the internet, or what's going on in this place.  Or at least, that's how it should be. 

I was without internet, cell phone, or regular communication for 20 days while on vacation.  It was difficult at first, but then turned out to the a really great thing.  The one concession I made was that I called my son (2 1/2 years old) at daycare twice, for about 3 minutes each.  Each of those calls cost me about $26.00 EACH!!! [I was on a long trans-Atlantic cruise].  Next time, it'll be cheaper to just take him with us.

LOL  I would be close to convulsing after 3 to 4 days!   But if I am on vacation it is a different story I would only worry about having fun every day.

I haven't gone for more than a day or so without the internet.  I have a laptop for work and a CRACKberry that go everywhere with me.  Even the two times I've been on a cruise I've used the onboard computers to be in touch.  Yes...I am an addict!!

Wimps, all of you!  I had to go without it for a whole YEAR but thankfully I got a new system and was back online this past December. 
It was hard but thankfully I had mobile email on my cell phone and my computer at work with strict filters on what we can access.  I was so glad to get back online and that is when I met all of you nice folks here at OH. 
Good luck, Jen with being away  2.5 weeks.  I feel your pain, LOl!
