Being a animal lover myself, I know what you are going threw. I have 3 dogs and our lab was my father in laws and when he passed away we took him. He has been with us for 7 years and clung to me the day we brought him here. His back legs are failing and it's hard for him to get up and down and know that he day is coming we have to do the unthinkable and it kills me. My brother had to put my fathers dog (same situation, My dad passes away 7 years ago and my brother brought him home with him) It was the last living thing of my fathers and it is hard still to this day and it's been 2 1/2 years. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your Family

My 3 things

1) Talked to my Dad's girlfriend lastnight after wanting to find her so bad. She was like a second mother to me and I miss her terribly and now she is back in my life for GOOD and going to see her sunday. It will be happy tears and sad tears as seeing her reminds me of my father and I miss him terribly each and every day now that Randy and I are trying to get pregnant. He will never experience being a grandfather but I know he is up there watching

2) A Husband who without him my world would be nothing. He is my rock and I cherish him everyday. He keeps me grounded when my world is in choas.

3) My Family and Friends.

First, Tia, my deepest sympathies to you and your family on the loss of Mickey. Pets are indeed special. Letting Mickey go was the most loving thing that could be done given the situation. May time help ease this loss and only the happy memories remain.

My 3 things:

1 - I had a good appointment with my Orthopedic MD this morning. (I have a tear in my rotator cuff.) I am doing well enough that there is no need to rush into surgery any time soon - yeah! It will most likely have to be fixed some day, but for now I am managing it well and have not had any pain issues in a while. I don't have to revisit this issue for 6 months.

2 - That everyone is OK. I don't know why I worry as much as I do, but I do. My nephew called me last night (caller ID) but did not leave a message. I have been trying to reach him back, but just getting voice mail (unusual). I finally just reached him and all is OK. Whew! I can relax now.

3 - My OH home and family!

Tia, I am so sorry to hear about your brother's cat, Mickey.  It is so hard to say goodbye to an adored pet.  I remember 17 years ago I had to put my dog Muffin to sleep, and it was hard.  We had waited as long  as we could but it was time.  I held her while they gave her the injection until she passed.  My Dad went with me because I would not have driven home well with the condition I was in. I love both cats and dogs, and currently I have 2 cats since I don't have a yard.  I try not to think about it but my older cat Sylvia is getting up there at 16.  You sound like you are a great sister.  My sisters and I say we are lucky to have each other and it seems like the same goes for you and Gary.
