Tia : So sorry to hear about Garys beloved cat:  You know you made the right decision;
Shes far better off; Its just the family will greive - and I include Killian as  family.
people without pets are likely to say its just a Cat: but  pet owners know that
she was a integrel part of the family.  Hugs to you all

Today I am grateful for :

1.  My friends who keep me on track and accountable.

2.  My family and I include my furbaby Cuddles.

3.  The fact that I need to go shopping for new jeans   WOO HOO!

i'm so sorry for your loss. i am hugging your brother right now. so sad. i love my furbabies so much. too much sometimes. one thing you could tell him is that he gave that cat a wonderful life and all cats deserve that. bring a new kitty into your home soon. I volunteer at lucky cat rescue. i could hlep you find the right kitty for you.

i'm grateful for:

1. sleep. i am tired lately. i did exercise yesterday but i was tired at the start of the day. i am tired today as well. but i plan on exercising all five days this week. i really need to do that for myself.

2. the scale. it is teaching me something about myself. it hasn't moved in over a week, despite eating right and exercising. it has really made me see what i use to determine my self worth. i have to be more mindful of what the scale does to me so that I can continue to do the next right thing and not give up.

3. less back pain. since i started exercising regularly, the back pain has gotten alot better. the chiropractor works on my back three days a week right now and that is helping alot. yesterday i had a good session with lots of cracks!

Thanks, Nic!  Knowing how you are about your Moosh Moosh, you totally get this.  As far as a new kitty, well, they still have their 15 year old dog, Killian, whose health is failing.  At this point, it wouldn't be fair to her to bring a new pet into the fold.  And even after she's gone - probably not.  My brother works long hours and feels, at this point anyway, that it just wouldn't be fair to an animal.  KB do have another kitty, Baby, at their mother's, so that will help, as will my puppy, Happy.  But I'll keep it in mind - I'm all for rescuing animals - in my opinion, it's the ONLY way to acquire a new family member.

Tia:
So sad about the cat.  It's always hard to loose a pet.  My thoughts are with your family.

1.  My grandson (I know it's been in my post before).  His mother dropped him off with me over the weekend, so I took him to McDonalds last night to eat/play (more play) and in walked his sister.  After a quick hug she said, Mommy is in the drive through.  I'll go tell her you're here and we'll come back in.  He was so excited, looking out the window.  All we saw were her tail lights.  She didn't even come in.  Her phone is cut off so we usually don't hear from her after he gets dropped off.  Anyway, he was so hurt.  He started crying and I can't blame him.  He is 5 and how do you understand that Mommy is not there for you?  I just held him and assured him that Grandma would never leave him and if he ever needed anything that I was there for him.  (God I hate, yes hate, that woman).

2.  I go to the podiatrist today.  Ever since the treadmill issue, I have a place on my foot that is not healing.

3.  MY OH family!

Thanks, Lisa!!!!

The next time we have to put an animal down, your grandson's mother can be right up there with my ex-husband!!!

Hugs,
