Yesterday was a great day! We got up, took rachel my golden to the river, walked/hiked for 3 hours, my dog got to see a german shepard, and yorkie, and people! She loves people! came home rested for a bit, my younger daughter bought my younger grandson over and a birthday present....and a toy for rachel... and then a volunteer from a golden rescue came over to get the donation I was giving them and she brought a 4 month old golden puppy over, hers, not a rescue....and my golden had a great time with the baby, she was really gentle with her even when the pup tried to nurse from her, rachel has never been pregnant...and then I treated eric to dinner out...good day!

That does sound like a great day!

We were up and out of the house before 6 a.m, with the fire truck and downtown for the parade.   I walked around and took pictures of the trucks as they staged, then told my husband I would meet him at the convention center and walked from the Rusty Scupper up to across from Harbor Court to take pics of the parade then the rest of the way to the Cenvention Center when it was over.

Even though I am almost 4 1/2 years out, I am STILL amazed at the things I am able to do without even giving it a thought or worrying that I am not going to be able to fit/walk/etc.

These days my concern is still food though and what will I eat when I get there.   When I have the opportunity to pack food, I do and that's what I did yesterday ... A salad and some bagel crisps were definitely tastier than the strange things that might have come from the concession stand on the exihibit floor!

Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!
