Having a weight loss stall?

Just have stomach surgery!

Before I went into the hospital I was down 92 lbs.  I had been there for well over a week.  Well, in the hospital, I gained SIXTEEN lbs, which I assume was fluids.

Well, I got out of the hospital last Wednesday, between then and Saturday I lost the 16 lbs, plus another 8 bringing my weight loss to a total of 100 lbs.

From Saturday to today, I've lost another 14!  Holy hannah!

Of course, I barely eat (even for a gastric bypass patient).  And it was the worst experience of my entire life.  But at least something a little bit positive came out of it!

Congratulations! You definitely have had a difficult time of it. But it sounds like you have found a wonderful silver lining!

Holy Hannah is right! LOL Congrats on the weight loss! Just be careful that with all the problems you have had that you are getting in as much protein as possible plus your fluids and vits. I know this has not been easy for you and I know you have been having difficulties but I'll keep you in my prayers that the eating gets easier!

BTW yes, the 16 pound gain was all fluid from the hospital. I went through that last October with a non-WLS issue and had gone up 2 sizes when I came out of the hospital! It was bad! I didn't even have clothes that I could wear while the fluid was leaving my body! LOL It was about a week before the weight went down.

Take care and hopefully the positives from the WLS will become more and more!
