THE NIGHT OF A LIFETIME!!!

Hey everyone,

As some of you know, I went out to dinner with Big Al last night. We had a great time talking and eating, though Big Al with his DS could eat alot more than me! But that is not what has spawned my topic title.

We just finished eating and was starting to walk out when we realized it was pouring outside. I mean can't see in front of yourself pouring. At first, we walked the mall a bit and Al found an umbrella but I didn't get one, thinking that I could handle the rain. So we walked back and it was still pouring but I really wanted to get home so I decided to brave the outdoors. BIG MISTAKE! The rain was flowing like a river outside and I couldn't find my car for the life of me. By this time, I am drenched to my knickers and freaking out. Lightning is coming down hard and I'm envisioning myself becoming toast. So I flag a security car down and the guy was nice enough to look for my car while I waited under a building structure. After awhile, he finally found it and drove me to my car.

While I had been waiting, I was wondering what I would do about driving drenched 45 minutes back home. So when I got to my car, I waited til the guy left, opened my door, hunkered down and took my outer clothes off. YES I DID! I was shaking so bad cuz of the rain, wind and the possibility of getting arrested. I finally get in my car and drive home, slowly but surely. While driving, I kept wondering what would happen if I got a flat tire or some other horrendous problem with my car. It was a stressful drive.

So I am home and I live in a townhome community so there are lots of other houses there. The lights were blazing that night so you could see everything. I never noticed THAT before. It's still pouring so I looked around, got out of the car with my underwear and bra, ran to my front door, fumbled with my keys, learned how to open a door, opened the door and ran in. Hopefully there were no recording devices aimed at my house. So I survived but I may be arrested later today for being naked in public.

Calgon, take me away!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh Nicole, What an adventure! This just goes to show how strong and brave you really are! Despite the stress, it sounds like you are able to look back upon it with a sense of humor. I am glad you got home safely. Thank you for sharing!

Nicole,

Now that's a night you soon won't forget.  I could just imagine what was racing through your mind when you made a dash for it from your car to the house.  LOL.  That's why I am so thankful I was born a man.  No periods, no pregnancy and the right to take my shirt off in public without getting arrested for indecent exposure.  Glad you were able to laugh about it and glad you had a great time last night.

So that was you we saw as we were driving by Arundel Mills on our way home from the movies. lol   J/K.  I probably would have done the same thing. Heck, I've know people that have done that without needing the excuse of their clothes being soaked.  Glad that you made it home safe and sound. It was nasty out there and that was quite a drive for you.

That is hilarious. I got stuck in the rain too. I came out after grocery shopping and got drenched, but I only live a block away so I kept my clothes on. Not as brave as you Nicole. Maybe after surgery. LOL
