Tae Kwon Do
Thanks all. Like losing pounds with WLS, the belts are a way to show progression. It's always good to know that you're getting better at something.
I've been preaching that Tea Kwon Do is an awesome form of exercise. I highly recommend it for everyone. Where else can you lose weight and learn how defend yourself at the same time? It doesn't even matter if you're not at your goal weight. Sign yourself up for classes. Most schools offer a free class or introductory price for the first week or two. The masters will work with you at your own level and pace. You might be surprised at the age range and fitness levels of the people there.
I have truly seen myself become more flexible, stronger and confident. Five months ago, I could never have raised my leg high enough to kick anybody in the chest. These days, I am quite confident that I could probably knock somebody out by kicking them in the head. I'm not saying go out and kick people in the head (Okay, maybe some people! LOL) but you get the idea.
