the bandaid for the incision that is highest and in the center fell off in the shower today. my instructions were to shower daily and let the bandaids fall off at will. therefore, i did not put a new bandaid on it. after my late evening walk tonight, i hit the potty and made my usual inspection of my stomach area in the mirror afterwards. i noticed that the incision site had oozed a 3 x 1 inch stain onto my bra. the site itself is white and ***** and i can feel a lump under the skin.
i did what i would typically do, which is put some neosporin on it and a fresh bandaid. do you think this will suffice until my post-op appt on wednesday morning or do you think i need to call the doctor's office in the morning? i don't want to over or under react.

I personally wouldn't be concerned, but you should follow your gut instinct. If you feel it is unusual, there is nothing wrong with checking with your surgeons office on Tuesday. Half of my incisions oozed just a little bit, and my drain incision oozed quite a lot. I kept them clean, and I only covered them when I was going out of the house, so that they wouldn't ooze onto my clothes when I was out in public (although my drain incision did). In between showers, they dried out quite nicely. The one that is right in the bra line was the last to heal, I thought because my bra rubbed on it.
Hugs!
