You know, when Caryn's ex got me to talk with Caryn with what seems to be over a year ago i think, she urged me to join OH and find support here. I hemmed and hawwed about it and at the time I just didn't understand.

after the second Carroll County meeting, i decided to get a profile up here and what I finally realize now is that I have opened up a whole world of support and wonderful people like yourselves.

I can't thank you enough for your support and encouragement and inspiration each and every one of you give me.

Just thought you'd like to know

Thank you Aaron. I know exactly how you feel. I can't believe that I took so long for me to discover this board as well. It is amazing to me how important everyone on this board has become to me. I truly value the sharing and caring (and fun moments too) that is expressed here. Ditto on the thanks to all from me as well.

I feel exactly the same way, Aaron.

Every day, I am reminded in all kinds of ways, of the support and friendship that I have come to appreciate from this board.

Even when I didn't realize I needed help....and STILL do need help, I can count on you all to assist me with kind notes, encouragement, and sometimes a gentle smack up side the head.

Thank you all, for making me feel so welcome.

And thank you, Aaron, for starting this thread.

Aaron, when I first moved here a couple weeks ago, you were one of the first ones to welcome me with open arms.  I hope you realize you mean every bit as much to us as we do to you.  It's what support is all about.  In such a short amount of time, I already look at you and everybody else here as my extended family.

Yeah this board helps me feel less alone during this time of struggle. it's hard to lose weight, no matter what surgery you got. It's great to know there is someone who knows exactly what I am going through and won't judge me but lift me up. I am definitely grateful to have the people on this board. and i love meeting you guys too. so much fun!

It's always nice to have friends that have been in the same boat - that's why we are all here! Thanks to all!

I don't always post, but I know that I can count on the postings on the Maryland board to lift my spirits and keep me going!   I've got a pretty busy and full life, but I try to remember from whence I came and not lose touch.  I think the Maryland group is pretty darn special.

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!
