Thoughts on New Orleans...
I sooooooooooooo Love NO. My ex hubby was from LA and we went to NO went we would visit. Yes alot of their food is either fried or very rich in thickness, but sooo yummy. Glad you had a good time, but please be careful. I hear it's a little more dangerous since Katrina. I would love to go again, and before surgery wqould be GREAT but don't think that will happen.

One of my sister's lives about 3 hours west of NO. All of the sister's (there are 6 of us) went down there for a bachelorette weekend for sister #4 (I'm the oldest) and had a great time. My DH and I are thinking about going down for our Anniversary in December, I'll have to research restaurants to find some that are WLS-friendly.
Glad you had a good time!

Hey Heather! Enjoy if you do go down. It will take some looking and asking to customize to eat - everything is fried or with rice. One place on Decatur had salad with boild shrimp and crab meat, that worked, and there are fast food places like subway where you can customize kiddie subs-but n one in their right mind goes to NO LA and eats at Subway....we just need to be creative! :)
