UGH!!!!!!!!!!!
Aaron, Good luck with that 10 pounder. Hope it's not. Since you've had them in the past you know how small they can be and how painful they are. I had them when I was pregnant and it was awful. It seems like they are going to be at least the size of a golf ball then they come out like a crumb. I was like are you seroius all that pain from that little ol' thing. Good luck and be careful. Do you have cranberry juice? It seems to help a little afterwards.

Oh Aaron !!! I'm sorry to hear of your problem with the kidney stones. Since my surgery I've been plagued with them and besides having suffered through passing many, have had lithotripsy (the blasting thing) 3 times in the last year. I've discovered that the low oxalate food plan my urologist would prefer to see me follow is not exactly WLS friendly (or at least not for my peculiar pouch issues). I'm more on a 'management' plan as opposed to a prevention plan here.
I've been advised to drink / use lots of lemon juice. Apparently even the lemon in Crystal light counts, so I've become a Crystal Light lemonade junkie. There is something in the lemon that helps prevent the calcium from forming stones. If you can stand to add packets of True Lemon to the lemonade that is even better. I haven't quite gotten that far yet.
Hope you get that stone out of there SOON and feel better!
Hugs, Mo
p.s. I hate to break it to you but based on my experience as much as we would like them to be 10 pound stones the dang things usually are NOT nearly that big . they just feel like it!

Comparison is the thief of joy!
If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished. Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago. I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits! Wherever you are in your journey ... It's ALL good!!!
Hi Aaron - I just had a kidney stone two weeks ago. I am so sorry you are suffering through the pain. My urologist told me the pain surpasses that of labor pains. After I passed the stone I didn't feel right for almost two weeks after the fact. My advice is to drink as much as possible to flush the bugger out! Good luck.

You can't measure your achievements with someone else's yardstick!

I can't believe that you are on the computer when you have a kidney stone. I've had them twice, when I was 20 and 21 (I'm 29 now) and both times I had to go to the ER because of the pain. I also had massive vomiting.
I'd honestly recommend going and getting some pain meds. Toradol ended up being the best for me because it was non-narcotic but completely took the pain away. The second time I had one, I literally slept (with the help of percocet) for a week, only waking when my dad forced me to get up and drink/pee.
