When you sign out and sign in again, you get a preference choice as to whether you want to be emailed by OH members anonymously or when someone has sent a response or a PM to you on OH.  Under http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/members/profile-admin/contact-settings.php?key=SDExODMwNDQ3NTIKcHJpdmF0ZTk5

you can choose to check
" Allow members to contact me via email on my profile
(your address is always hidden from the public, regardless of your choice) "
I really like it this way because I check email daily.  Plus, on some days I really love to get email after a long day working two jobs.
Also, make sure the little box is checked at the bottom of each posting that says,
" Notify me when a reply is posted to this topic ", then OH sends to your email address that you got a response to something you posted.

Also under your OH inbox preferences:

Check this box if you want to receive an email notification whenever you receive a new Personal Message. Note that you must have a valid email address configured in your profile in order for this to work.

Since I have my settings this way I have no longer missed any messages from my OH friends, and that is a good thing so I thought I'd share just FYI.

I just wanted to let ya know your baby is BEAUTIFUL! I have been watching a little one all weekend that looks a lot like your little angel. She weighs 7 pounds and she is a PEANUT! LOL When Mike and I hold her we just are in awe. Even though I do daycare I have not had one this small in years. Your so blessed. I will be sad when I have to hand this little one back. hehehe But gosh she looks a lot like your baby. Just had to share. ~Jilly~

Tiny babies are always so cute!!!  Gia is 4 1/2 months now and she weighs 11 pounds and 6 oz still wearing 0-3 months clothes.

ha, I can't STAND getting those email notifications! If it's a popular thread, I end up with a TON of emails from OH in my Inbox, and I get annoyed. I actually make sure to NOT check the "Notify me" box at the bottom of my posts!

Then again, I scour theboard pretty thoroughly, so I don't think I miss much. I had a hard time when the threads were sorted by the date/time they were started as opposed to the date/time of the most recent response, but once I changed that, I was good to go  :)

LOL that's funny.  I don't like to scour the board and I have mine sorted per date time they were started.  To each their own I say.  :-)
