Terri,

It has been a nightmare here for the past few days. Thanks to my daughter she always brings me my grand daughter sick and she is kind enough to share her germs with everyone here. I had to drive to MD yesterday ro take all three to see the pediatrician.

I tried as heck to keep everyone clean washing hands not sharing but it was not succesful. So now my kids including baby gia has Pink eye... A bad cold virus with diarrhea and vomiting. Little Gino has double ear infection. My grand daughter will be here until Tiesday late night and I will be having a long talk with my daughter then and tell her that this will not be happening again. Today she is in St. Lucia having fun until Tuesday. Last week she brought her to me because the baby was sick and she could not take her to daycare and she could not miss another day of work. That was 8 days ago on Thursday. Well Friday morning I spoke with my daughter and she never went in to work that day. So she took advantage of the situation and had a wonderful weekend and week to herself,. She was sick too with the crusd she gave us but nothing stopped her from leaving to St. Lucia for a wedding for a few days.

If I didn't have small children it would be ok to bring her sick but this is all the time then we have to deal with all the sickies and me never resting. Who the heck helps me when I need help? Then to top it off she never brought any of the baby's meds or money for pullups, Lactaid milk (which is $3.36 a half gallon.. Ughhhh I am so done with all this.  I love my grand daughter but my daughter has to grow up and have her priorities straight,. She will get the shock of her life after she comes back.

Sorry to vent. Are you sorry you asked? lol

Baby Gia had 103.8 fever in the middle of the night I had to put warm towels on he body to bring down her fever to a safe temp.  She has been so cranky and crying so much I feel so bad for her and the other two.

I hope you are having a great day. Better than mine for sure!

Cira,

I am sorry you are having such a bad day. When you raise your children one would hope they would be sensitive to their mom and not think they are always available.  I have a son like this so I know how you feel.  It is hard because we do love our children and grandchildren but we have lives as well and yours is full and you certainly do not  need the added stress. I hope you are able to get some relaxation for yourself soon.  You take care of yourself.

Cira,
Good for you.  Sometimes the most loving thing you can do for your daughter is to say No, do it yourself.  You must be a saint at this point.  You can not do everything for everybody you know.  I hope the kids get well real soon! Hugs!

Thank you Jennifer! I am not a saint but I am a sucker for sure.
I am sitting here up with my 6 year old crying her throat is killing her and she has 104.1 fever.
The baby has 102 but she nursed a tiny bit and fell alseep. I feel this is going to be a long night just like the last 4 nights.

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.
