The Feed Bag
Well I had the heavenly experience of trying fat free greek yogurt. that is one thing I need to stockpile!!!!!
So for yesterday....
b - oatmeal
s - protein shake
l - refried beans, salsa, a stick of string cheese and 5 crackers
s - protein shake
d - fat free greek yogurt with a couple packets of splenda and kashi golean mixed in!

You gotta acquire a taste for greek yogurt!! It is hard to find also!
Yesterday-

L- Liv activ cottage cheese
S- two pb crackers
D- one meatball w/ sauce and parmeson cheese - tried a mouthful of well cooked whole wheat pasta for the first time and it was
S- sf pudding
one protien shake- I really hate them all!!! Today I am trying pure protein bar- was only able eat half so far - it is so sweet tome- anyway at least that is 10gms of protein.
Need to do better with my water- Also, changed my vits to flintstones gummies twice a day- I can tolerate them. Thanks for the post Aaron-I have been busy at work and missed posting during the day with you guys I am more of a weekend girl.

Was the meatball a beef meatball? how did that go? I'm afraid to try beef yet. As for the whole wheat pasta.....I was eating that before surgery so as far as flavor goes, I don't mind it at all. I'm just afraid of what it will do when it gets in my pouch LOL. Yeah I'm still struggling with the water but I can promise you it will get better! I'm glad you found a vitamin you can handle! I'm still on my flintstone's chewables and I need to restock on my calcium citrate.
As for the protein bars, do they taste kinda musty to you? I thought they were kind of musty tasting but I figured that was because of the protein. They are very sweet to me too but as long as it doesn't go above 10g of sugar and sugar alcohols combined, then I'm ok. I haven't dumped yet!!!!!

Yeah- Aaron- part of me was scared of the pasta as well, have not eaten any post op. This was my first protein bar I have tried and I am not impressed- but it is easier and break from the nasty shakes. I tried putting Banana and strawberries along with ice in the blender, I tried Vanilla ISO Pure and Unjury Vanilla and did not like either one. The only one I really can tolerate is Syntax Nectar - Chocolate Truffle. Yes,it was a beef meatball, really mashed down, with alot of sauce that is the key. I could only eat one small one. I use to have trouble with beef and pork prior to surgery because of my hiatel hernia but since the repair when they did the RNY- I seem to be ok, thank god. Try a small meatball, with alot of sauce and parmessen cheese- you may be able to tolerate. I am really scared to try new foods, but am so bored with cottage cheese and yogurt!!
LOL I am right there with you on the boredom!!!! LOL However, I'm actually down to TWO cans of refried beans left in my pantry. After that is gone, I'll pick up some chicken breasts and start grilling chicken again! WOOHOO!!!!! I think i'm still going to stick with my vegetarian sausage and bacon and egg beaters for breakfasts on the weekend......Those are really tasty (from MorningStar Farms).
I haven't tried any italian food yet...hmmmmm..... I know for the Carroll County support group I had about 3 ounces of turkey cut over a small salad and I ate about 2 ounces of the turkey and a few leaves of lettuce and a couple pices of pepper jack cheese and I was totally done in LOL They had fat free french dressing but not sure of the sugar content.
I'm still terrified to try new things as well. Although, I'm a champion at puking now LOL I used to HATE it now I don't mind. It's usually because I get stuck and it's easy to bring it back up for me. But in a public place, that's the last thing I wanna be doing LOL

I LOVE greek yogurt!! I mix mine with splenda and frozen berries and/or cherries and store it in the fridge overnight. Then the flavors have had time to mix and I also get 3/4 servings out of the pack. I am so glad you liked it!!

yeah those big tubs and theres only 2 SERVINGS in them? LOL a serving is a cup and I had that for dinner last night. So I think I really did GREAT on my protein intake but I tried the same thing this morning and I've got leftovers LOL But yeah, a couple packets of splenda and it was wonderful! I actually tried it last night with a dash of vanilla extract and splenda and that was also really good!

Yesterday:
B- 12 oz coffee with non dairy creamer & splenda and 1 sunyside up fried egg.
L- skipped lunch (rough day on the road with 4 kids) I am lucky I ate some food yesterday.
D- 4 barbecue chicken breast chunks with 1/4 cup of mixed veggies
S- A handful of mountain trail mix and a mediun vanilla iced coffee
60 ounces of was and all my vitamins
I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.
Those that mind don't matter, and those that matter don't mind.
