first doctor visit...
I agree with all of the above. A list is an absolute necessity. I have Dr Singh in the same office and he laughs at my 2" 3ring binder / fully tabbed with all my past labs and clinical data, insurance info, phone numbers, progress notes and a "special section" for my notes and questions. I even have some of the articles that I printed in researching this procedure. (Can you say Type A ??)
Good Luck and I wish you a happy birthday.

I always have a list of questions in my head, then forget them when I get to the doctor! Definitely write them down so you don't forget anything.
Best wishes as your WLS journey continues.

Comparison is the thief of joy!
If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished. Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago. I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits! Wherever you are in your journey ... It's ALL good!!!
I bought a zippered binder to most of my appointments: I had copies of all
test results and questions were never a problem with my surgeon: hell
my Mom went with me to every preop appointment and had her own
questions for DVR. I know Cathy Carr who work for your Dr. I know
you will get to know her well. Shes a wlser herself and understands
what we go thru.

Good grief! Please do take that list! We get so overwhelmed by the information we are getting that we forget. I take my 3 ringed binder with me to EVER appointment with my surgeon. Even with questions written down, I often forget one or two of them and have been known to go back to the "weigh station" there in the office to ask the questions I forgot. Most of the time tho, Dr. Singh just looks over my shoulder at the list and answers them without me having to ask! Best of luck! Even though I didn't have Dr. A, he is in the same office with my surgeon and I have seen his interaction with the staff and patients. He's a caring man. Deb
okay, see...I am already drawing a blank...these are the only other questions I can think of? any other question suggestions would be welcomed and appreciated very much!
What size bougie do you use? How about the staple line, how do you do that, what type of staples? How long is the hospital stay? What are your preop and postop requirements?
