Got my Surgery Date

Hi, I'm pretty new to the board and have really enjoyed reading all the posts. Last week I went to my first support meeting and really found it helpful. I live on the Eastern Shore. For the past few months I've been attending classes and seeing doctors for my pre-op stuff. Today, I just got my surgery date. It's October 29th!!! That's when my 6 month waiting period is up for my insurance. It seems like a long way off but I think the time will go fast. At least I have a date to shoot for. My doctor is Dr. Michael Peters and I'm having the Realize Band put in. Dr. Peters is part of the Chrias group in Delaware. I look forward to learning all I can!

Welcome and Congratulations, Jackie. It really will be here before you know it. I did run into some delays with mine last year, but in retrospect it did go by quite fast.
