MONDAY EXERCISE

Well, as I stated in a seperate post, I am now in my new place and have become an official resident of Elkton, Maryland.  Now the fun begins.  I'll spend the entire day putting things away, organizing, etc...  This will have to do for my exercise today as there just isn't time for much else.  I'll get back on the wagon tomorrow.  My immediate exercise will have to consist of running, running and, well, running - until I find a gym to join.

My new friends and family, do me and yourself a favor.  Do not allow the rain we have this morning throw you off your workout.  It may curtail it a little, but don't blow the day off entirely.  Most people don't workout on the weekend, so taking today off would make it three days straight.  If you aren't a member of a gym and it's raining too hard to get outside, dust off that old workout video tape and do some exercise in your living room.  Or, if you don't have that convenience, maybe you have some sort of exercise channel on your cable network.  Something as simple as climbing the steps in your house a few times will burn some calories.

By all means, if you have any rainy day ideas for working out, please share them with others.  Take care and have a great day my new neighbors.

Welcome to Maryland first of all and thanks for the reminder that its Monday:

That means my Gym is open again after being closed for a week for yearly cleaning and fixing of equipment and things like that   I am so HAPPY:  cann't wait to get back in there;

Last week I was just lost:  I did 30 minutes of wiifit everday but I need my treadmill and weight circuit -  plus its Monday so that Means REFORMER PILATES.

I usually spend 4 nights a week at the gym plus at least 1 day on the weekend sotoday is back to the GYM DAY.    So thanks again for the reminder and the daily encouragement

I was really glad to be working out during the weekend.  It was actually kinda quiet in the gym when I was there so it was great.  The ironic thing is that I do my treadmill which watching food network LOL

OK I am a total Food Network Junkie!!! From before WLS to now, I still watch something on there almost every day. No matter what I will always love to bake and cook....I just don't eat what I bake anymore LOL that's the difference.

Exercise this weekend was a little less but still nursing my knee so can't do what I have been doing. Picking up a brace tonight and seeing if that helps. Did PT on Saturday morning and Centennial Lake on Sunday. Wasn't a ton of exercise but it was something so that is better than the alternative! Walking tonight after work and doing some free-weights after since I see my PT on Tuesday.

I don't know what it is about the food network....they just make everything so effortless and I used to be a HUGE baker.......now I don't do that anymore but I still love to watch it on TV.

I didn't bake for a very long time after WLS. Just no joy in it so figured why do it? Then I remembered that even before WLS I loved to bake FOR others and to bring them something to make them smile....so I started again. Now, I don't bake as much as I used to but still do and actually have learned a lot from the Food Network. Alton Brown is one of my faves!!!! :-) Besides, it also shows me that I have control over food, it doesn't have control over me anymore.

Alton Brown is fun to watch but you know every day when I'm at the gym, no matter what time it is, I'm always watching Giada!  LOL  I love Barefoot Contessa and Rachel Ray (even with her annoying bubbly attitude).  I learned a lot with using spices from Rachel.

Giada gets on my nerves sometimes as does the Barefoot Contessa but I have learned from them both. Another one who gets on my nerves but I have learned a lot from is the one who does Semi-Homemade. Rachel Ray used to be a fave of mine but in the last year not so much. I'm an Iron Chef junkie and want to meet Michael Simon and Mario B. very badly! LOL Also love Nigela....she is awesome!
