got my first shot of three

OH MY GOD!!  i got my first synvisc shot in my knee today.  The shot of synvisc wasn't bad but she gave me a shot of local anesthesia first!  HOLY F*****G CHRIST that smarted!  the needle had to go in the side of my knee under my kneecap and it BURNT!!!!!!!!!  The shot of synvisc felt like I was getting filled with marbles.  However she said that I may feel it ache this time around or the next shot next week (I get three of them once a week for three weeks).  I have noticed a difference already i think.  We'll see in the morning when i have to go downstairs.

hope it makes ya feel better and the cure isn't worse then the disesae!

Aaron, I second what Jen said! Take care and hopefully tomorrow you will really be able to feel a difference AND be able to join us on Sunday!!! ('cause Jen and Kristen really need looking after! LOL) WOOHOO!!!

Aaron OMG you have made my knees hurt like hell!  You poor thing, I really hope this works for you. Hugs Kristen Cause if you can lift your leg, you can kick Heather in the ass!

if it's anything like the stuff the injected into my brother-in-law's back, you're going to be glad you did it.  he could hardly get out of bed and the doctor gave him a shot of something and he felt like he could run a marathon.  it must be similar because he received one, once a  week for three weeks also.

Aaron,  I'm glad you survived the local.  I really hope this works for you.  It will really be another great change in your life.  Weight loss, better knees, man, what next?? I'm really happy for you.

Well she said that the cavity behind my kneecap was pretty large.  i think she just used the numbing stuff because she didn't know the landscape of my knee.  Now that she knows she said she probably won't need to use it.  And the one thing she told me that hurt worse than the shot was that I'm in the age bracket of people that this works really well for.  Those that are AROUND 40!!!!!!  I just about died LOL  I think it hit me a bit too hard that I'm starting to head in head first into 40!!!!!  (I turn 37 next month)
