I'm feeling okay.  I have an appointment with my surgeon Monday.  The ED doc feels my issues have nothing to do with surgery which is great.  And I see a gastroenterologist at Johns Hopkins Bayview on Tuesday.  I spoke with one of the Drs I work with last night and he thinks I had a stone in my common bile duct.  My labs (liver functions) are very high and that is the main concern for my Drs.  I had a work physical 2 1/2 months ago and my liver functions were in the low range of normal.  Now the results are 30 to 40 times the previous level. The pain in my belly is much better and I am able to keep food down.   I will be the first to admit I am not a good patient.  I am very nice to everyone who is taking care of me, I just don't do well being sick.  Honestly, just like all of you I am just too busy for all of this. So, I am trying to take care of me.  My husband is taking care of everyone else!!  Well, me too, but he is taking over my mommy duties too.

wow!  a stone?  I didn't know your liver could make stones?  I still have my gall bladder and I have gall stones (but they have been shrunk from the medication I was on).  That's gotta be painful!  I'm hoping and praying that they can do something for you fast!  oh and by the way, you ARE teeny tiny!  :)

They think they are stones from the bile duct.  When I had my gall bladder removed, it was full of stones.  Anyway, I am probably going to need an ERCP and they would then remove any stones in the duct and then apparently they would do a sphincterotomy and dilate the opening.

It's okay Tia, thanks for checking up on me know though.   I realized things are going to be pretty quiet around here while you are on vacay.  I for one will miss your wit!!  I better soak it up while I can.
