Anyone have Dr Mark Kligman?
LOL Sorry but when you said they had you up when you were "somewhat coherent" I had to laugh. That is AWESOME that you did 50 laps around at the hospital and that you were at the the gym so fast. Good for you!!! You have to be so proud of yourself. Im glad you didnt endure any prolonged pain. :o) Good idea about the pill crusher, I never even thought about that. Thanks!! ~Jilly~
Hi there Jen ;o) Thanks for the welcome. You look GREAT by the way. Can I ask a question w/o sounding completly stupid? (haha) Does everyone have to go under general anesthetics? I think I am scared of that more then ANYTHING! I mean I had several c-sections but was awake with them. Strange huh? Just a phobia of mine. Thanks again for the welcome :o) ~Jilly~
Hi Jilly:
I too had Dr. K. Surgery was on May 20th and I was back to work on June 2nd. I think we all have pre-surgery jitters. Dr. K is a very good surgeon. What impressed me was the care and concern that Dr. K and his staff have for you after surgery as well. He came to see me and called to check on me in the hospital at 1:00am the night after surgery. So far I've lost 48 lbs. I'm really feeling great now. The couple of days after surgery, not so much. It took me a while to actually do a lap at the hospital, but we are all different! Let me know if you have any other questions and I'll be more than happy to help you out if I can. Congratulations for taking the first step.

Jilly:
I am actually starting to feel like I'm loosing weight. I have been agonizing over every little pound. Sometimes (a lot of times) asking myself why didn't the scale move today or what did I do different today than yesterday. Then, last week I lost 11 lbs. I still can't believe it, but I'll take it. I can surely say this time they are gone forever. I intend never to put those back on again. Glad you're here and looking forward to taking the journey with you. You'll meet some great folks here!!

Hi Teri. Thanks for the welcome. (((Hugs)))) I have so noticed that everyone on here is so very supportive and that is INCREDIBLE!!! It certainly helps out with the mental aspects of this entire process. I mean I am FRAZZLED everyday already but when you add the surgery in the mix its like SYSTEM OVERLOAD in my brain. hehe But the support is so awesome! Thanks to you and everyone else. ~Jilly~
Hi there, I used Dr. Kligman for my surgery on June 10th. So far I'm down 31 pounds. Dr. Kligman is tough, but he does it out of caring for each of his patients. He has high expectations. But for me, it helps to know that someone has certain expectations for me and I'm expected to meet them. His stafff is great. His staff compliment him as a professional. He made sure everything as safe for me, because have severe sleep apnea and high blood pressure. And yes, he does expect you to be up and walking as soon as possible after surgery and every hour after that. I was out for the hospital wthin 24 hours and went back to work after two weeks. I'm excited about what's in store for me. And I think I made the right decision to go with him. You're more han welcomed to write me off list or give me a call.
