I know Tia usually does the feedbag post during the week however, because I am trying to remain loyal in documenting and answering to what I eat, I thought I would start the weekend feedbag for those of us who are on the computer during that time.   I also, always like to get new ideas on food items as a newbie this really helps me, so I hope if you are on here you will post to this.   Here it goes Breakfast - Ricotta cheese 1 pkg of splenda with a dash of cinamon mixed and placed on a thin sliced whole wheat toast -( my first time and it was yummy and ok)  Snack- Protein drink with skim milk Lunch OOPS forgot  Snack small amount of diced watermelon (my first and it yummy, and yes I do know the downside no protein, etc but it was a holiday Dinner- 1 tablespoon of scalloped potatoes and a few shredded pieces of pork rib barbequed ( first time and last- got and went for the gas x did not vomit though) Did not manage to get all fluids in however, did take my meds.  Well, onto another day-   Have a great one! Terri

Kristen, The whole thing about posting at the feedbag is to be accountable of what you ate the day prior.  lol  Geesh girl you need to follow the rules.

You know me and rules do not mix well.  I always color outside of the lines and I run with scissors, but I will try to give it some effort!

Well, with this major life change we have done it is importsnt to keep some guidelines. I am not saying you need to do everything by the book. I know I don't but if we learn to be accountable to ourselves then we don't have to have a major battle in the future trying to keep the pounds off.  Right now you are still in the honeymoon phase so it is easier to lose but that time will soon go and if you are not careful you will be definitely struggling in the future. Also by responding to the feedbag post it helps others to see what we are eating and we can help the new post ops too. I hope you do give it your best effort.

Yesterday: B- 12 oz coffee, non dairy creamer & splenda 30 minutes later 1 slice of whole wheat bread & 1 slice of american cheese L- 1 sweet grilled sausage, 1 tablespoon of pasta salad, 1 tablespoon of bakes beans, 1 tablespoon of beans casserole. Then later I had 1 thin slice of key lime pie...  S- 1 wedge of watermelon D- 3/4 of a cup of baked ziti with one meatball S- I was bad I had a square of I don't know what it is called. The neighbor made it and gave us a tray. It had shaved coconut, chocolate chips, butterscotch flavored chips and I have no idea what else. It was too damn good and I had to break away from it.  lol   I did however have 76 oz of water and all my vitamins. Terri,   When I was early out from surgery my eats were very boring.  I stuck to the usuals because I hated getting sick with new stuff I tried.  After my 3 month of being post op it was easier to incorporate new things to my pouch and I did better. I stuck with MD crab soup, cream of broccoli soup, protein shakes, and fruits mostly.

I remember trying sweet peas when I was 7 weeks out. I thought I was going to die. I chewed them all but they didn't agree with my pouch.   So whenever I wanted sweet peas I put them in my magic bullet and I then did just fine.  At first I would take shrimps and put them in my magic bullet too. Just chopped them up a bit and made a  sald with it.   I stood away from ground beef until I was almost 3 months out and I tried my first steak at 6 months out I believe. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.
