Sleeping issues
SIGH.....You HAD to know this would be my response: Yes, I have sleeping issues - mainly because I'm not sleeping with anyone, dammit!!!!!!! ROFLMAO!!!!
Seriously, since you're malabsorbing, your body is lacking, even if you take vits - that's why it's important to maintain your follow-up bloodwork. When do you go again? Are you getting your B-12 shot or doing the sublingual (wait....isn't that a dance popular at weddings?)?
Another cause for fatigue can be dehydration - I've heard that by the time you FEEL thirsty, you're already on your way to dehydration.
Lots of things can cause it - just stay on top of it and tell your REAL doc, since I am not one NOR do I play one on tv!!!
Hugs,
Tia
LMAO!!! girl we have that SAME issue although I think I've gone a little bit longer without than you ;)
Well I am probably dehydrated since there's only been a day or two that I've been able to get all my fluids in. I have had a problem with dehydration ever since I came home from the hospital. I guess I shouldn't be drinking coffee LOL It just seems like each day I'm missing the mark on something. I do take the b-12 sublinguals every day. I go for my blood work three weeks before my 3 month follow up in August.
Hmmm.............perhaps your first line could be the topic of tomorow's debate post by Jen???? LOL!!! If you're drinking high-test, switch for now. Caffeine is a natural diuretic. Remember when your jaw dropped at the amount I drink? Well, that's because I drink a LOT of coffee first thing in the a.m., so I increase my water to make up for it. I want to take you to the Little Italy Open Air Film Festival on August 22 - I DO NOT WANT TO HAVE TO VISIT YOU IN THE HOSPITAL!!! And no, sorry, luv, NOT gonna threaten to spank you!! Tia
you are losing pretty quickly so maybe you need to try to up your calories, specifically protein and fat. not sure what your diet consists of or what phase. also, b12 shots tend to be better. i also take something every day. it's easy to get low on b12, vit d. call your pcp and ask them to order some blood drawn just to make sure. i wouldn't wait til august.
Aaron,
JMHO but I would get your bloodwork done sooner than later. Sometimes fatigue can be an iron or B-12 issue. Also, have you been getting a lot of exercise in? If not you may want to up it a little, that can help you sleep better and wake up refreshed instead of fatigued.....IF it's not a bloodwork issue or diet issue. Call your doc and let them see you ASAP so they can rule out the serious stuff! :-)
Hey,
I had really bad anemia pre-op and I could tell when my Iron was low by how much extra sleep I needed. Also, B-12 sublingually may not be getting absorbed. I get a shot.... once a month. I would recommend calling your DR and telling them somethings up and ask them to do your bloodwork early.
Goodluck!

I am tired often. But, I attribute it to the fact that I have chronic insomnia. I can work a 12 hour night which turns in to 14 hours and still stay awake for at least another 10 hours. There are many days that I stay up for 24+ hours. I spoke with my Dr. about it and she wrote me a prescription for Lunesta. I sleep very well with it. It actually sends me straight to sleep after 15 minutes or so and I will get a good 8 hours of solid sleep.
The only good thing about insomnia is that I get TONS done as I work nights and am able to be up all day. But, I do miss having a "normal" sleep pattern.
