3 THINGS FOR HUMP DAY!!!!

Happy Wednesday everyone!!!  Today, I'm grateful for: 1.  An office with a/c - Although it means packing up AGAIN, I'm moving across the hall to an office that has a/c.  For whatever reason, the a/c on our side of the hall doesn't work.  It's like eating in the Rainforest Cafe every day!!  So today, I'll be busy cleaning and moving. 2.  That I'm quick witted and can think on my feet - Last night, I was at my brother's house on the computer; Mom was standing behind me talking to my brother, who was laying on the sofa, about his ongoing home improvements.  We were all talking about hanging pictures and Mom said to Gary, "Do you have a stud finder?" and IMMEDIATELY, I spun around in the chair to see Gary already cracking up and my Mom shaking her head as I said, "Well, if he does, DAMMIT, I clearly need to borrow it!"  Mom said as soon as those words were out of her mouth, she knew what was next!!!  I love that the people I'm closest to know me so well!!!  LOL!!!!  Hey, my philosophy is never pass up an opportunity to be a smart-a$$!!!!  ROFL!!! 3.  That after today, I only have 9 (NINE) more days to work before I'm off to get ready for the beach.   Oh, I just can't wait!!!  I'm hoping to be able to get together with some of the shore losers while I'm down there. Have a great day everyone!!  AND JUST IN CASE YOU MISSED HER POST, TERI (SLEEPLESS IN SEVERN) IS APPROVED AND HER SURGERY DATE IS JULY 18!!  WOO-HOO!!!! Tia

Let's see ............ 1) Having a few minutes to actually post this a.m. instead of just quick reading through and thinking WHAT am I grateful for ....  And knowing that even when I'm just lurking there are some really wonderful people on the Maryland board who bring sunshine to my life. 2) Weighing 5 pounds less yesterday at my annual gyn appointment than I did last year when I saw her in April.   The number is still higher than it was in 2005, but I'm going in the right direction. 3) A day closer to a much needed LONG weekend.   No big plans, just taking the fire truck to the Severn Park parade in the morning and the Annapolis parade in the evening on the 4th, then probably being lazy for the rest of the weekend.   I've been re-arranging the kitchen and I've still got some (read that as a lot of) work to do there.   I am not overly domestic, so it takes me forever to get things done. Have a wonderful Wednesday. Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!

Morning Sunshine!! I'm always happy to see you post, especially since I know how busy you are!  I'm glad the number on the scale is progressing downward - who cares how long it takes (yeah, I know - we do!), as long as it continues.  Keep up the good work!!

I hope the rain doesn't screw up Mack's itinerary on the 4th.

You?  Not overly domestic?  Get out of here!!!!  LOL!!

Love ya, miss ya, mean it!

Tia

((( Tia )))  aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw  you are a sweetie!   I just had a thought (and I captured it before it died of loneliness !!!) .. what ever happened to the 'Ride the Ducks' idea?   I know my schedule is pretty packed with stuff for the summer, but that did sound like a fun outing. Speaking of packed, we are headed to Harrisburg on the 12th for a fire truck thing (even tho Mack is staying home) and that has blossomed into going to a Harrisburg Senators/Bowie Baysox game at City Island in Harrisburg and spending the night on the 12th, so we are getting a mini-trip out of this.   I'll have to look for something fun to do on the way home on the 13th!!!  Of course, leaving Lefty home alone over night will be traumatic so we will probably be in a rush to get home to him. Hugs, Mo

Good Morning All! Today I am thankful for ... 1 & 2 - Vacation & Family - Vacastion starts tomorrow! I have a very busy work and get ready day planned. But I am quite excited. It has been too long since I have seen these members of my family. Besides enjoying the break, I get an emotional "recharge" spending time with them. I may not be posting too much while I am gone. I should be back some time on the 9th. 3 - Feeling good - Maybe it is euphoria about getting some time off, or maybe it is just that everything in my life is in a good place right now, but I am simply feeling good. I feel good about my health, my family, my friends, my job. I am happy. I sure hope this lasts for a while. I do feel somewhat guilty feeling this way, when so many others are facing such tough challenges. I can only hope that things improve for everyone else as soon as possible. Best Wishes, Debbie

Hi Deb!! My goodness, don't feel guilty about needing to recharge your batteries.  It's essential to do that so that you can take care of others.  Unfortunately, women tend to expect more out of themselves than others do, hence the need to recharge.  Right there with you!!  Even though I don't have any children of my own, you'd never know it from the full, busy life I lead.  For that reason, I'm right there with you on the vacay!!!! And don't feel guilty about what you have while others don't.  You worked hard for what you have and unfortunately, some people just have bad luck, and others are self-destructive and bring it on themselves.  In the end, we're only responsible for ourselves!! Enjoy your time with the family and by all means, don't give this board a second thought.  We'll catch you up on everything when you get back!!!  Have a great, safe, wonderful trip! Hugs, Tia

Hey girl! Yep, my brother calls me the Administrative Nomad.  Getting tired of this, but SO needing a/c!!! Gas is still right below $4 up here - thank God.  How twisted is it that we're grateful for that?

KEEP keeping your eyes open.  Remember, friends close, enemies closer!!  That's my fave - followed by - Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me!!  Both good sayings!!

Have a great day!
