Beating myself up!
I am really beating myself up about all the food choices I have made this past weekend. This is what my NUT has to say. I thought I would share.
Hugs Kristen
Make sure you increase your protein to stay full. Water load in-between meals increase exercise time and duration and switch up the type of exercise you do this will shock your system and get the weight moving again. Keeping a food log usually helps keep patients on track when they start to get off track. Let your self have the 2 starches a day just make them low fat good choices like baked lays or torttia chips. This is when the psych part really begins so a lot of it is plain will power. If you feel really tempted remove yourself from the situation and talk yourself out of it. Keep a list of all the reasons you don't want to go back and make yourself read it before you eat the thing you don't want to eat. Rally friends and family around you to support and help you abstain.
OK Breathe! First off you may have made some bad food choices this past weekend but are you planning on making those bad choices a daily part of your life? I don't think you will so stop beating yourself up and remember that you ARE human and you are allowed to have the occasional 'treat'. You know your boundries and you know not to overstep them on a regular and continual basis. :-) You have come way too far and will not allow yourself to backslide. OK? Sending hugs your way! BTW your NUT's advise is good :-)
I agree with Heather....don't beat yourself up, we are all allowed bad choices, we are human, and in all honesty, if you think about it, the quanity you ate was not nearly as much as you would have prior to surgery. Just stick to the protein and water.
I made a bad choice today, i ate 2, yes 2 mama celeste pizza's for 1. Took a half hour to eat 1, but I did. I justify it by saying it was 30 grams of protein....LOL
