An Affair To Remember
Does anyone know the movie? Cary Grant and Debra Kerr. I think Annette Benning and Warren Beatty did a remake. Anyway, this is my number 1 all time favorite movie! So while in NYC I had to go to the top of the empire state building, and if you know the story, Cary Grant goes there to wait for Debra Kerr. Well I asked all the door men, which elevator he took to get to the top and not one could answer, although I think the one we rode in was the right one. So we get to the 86th floor and walk out on the platform at midnight. It was SOOOOO beautiful and my friend Janet and I were looking down at all the lights. Then all of a sudden, I glance to my right and could barely believe my eyes. There was a gorgeous (dark haired man) down on one knee. He reached in his pocket and pulled out a box. He proceeded to open it and said, "I love you very much. Will you be my wife?" I almost peed my pants. Tears swelled up in my eyes. I wanted to say yes. I wanted to grab and hug him. But I couldn't. He wasn't asking me. I was so caught up in the moment. I surely wanted that young attractive woman to be me, but I was so beautiful. She did say yes and I am so happy that I shared their private moment.

When we believe, all things are possible!
WOW!!! Such a nice thing to experience!! I have never been to NY, even though I grew up in NJ. I am big fan of One Life to Live and All my children. I don't belong to a fan club however, they do have a fan club saturday in August hopefully if I am feeling up to it, I would love to go this year. Isn't it amazing how different men are about proposing and making it so special than in years past. My engagement experience was on my 16th birthday with my now husband being late in picking me up for a lunch date and I was really mad then took me to a South Jersey Diner and handed me a large shirt sized box with a smaller box in side of that one with a ring in it. He did not ask me to marry me, he just had me unwrap the boxes and then said, well, there it is, when do you want to get married. Being young and dumb I thought this was wonderful and the rest is history LOL.
Glad you had such a great weekend.
