OMG!!  I have been so sick of eating oatmeal and yogurt for breakfast that I scrambled and egg with a little bit of NF cheddar cheese and made it the way the NUT told me too.  Well I ate almost all of it within a little while, I got nauseaed and felt like vomiting but nothing came up.  I started burping excessively.  I took a gas x strip and still feel sick.  That was almost two hours ago and I still don't feel well. I don't care if I ever eat again!  I know I will never eat an egg. I had a similar situation 2 weeks after surgery but thought it was due to being too early to eat it, but it was not as bad as this. Any help?  Please!

I couldn't do eggs for a very long time. They also can cause a lot of gas. It will pass eventually just takes some time. Sorry about that! I know this whole live and learn stuff can really suck at times! If you feel up to it try eggs again in a few months. That's what I did and I do fine with them now but don't do them all the time because of the gas factor. LOL

Thanks Heather!  I never was much of an egg eater, I was just trying something different.  I just can't imagine I could still feel somewhat ill from one small egg!

I know it's wierd the things that can get us sick now that never did before. Could also depend what you cooked the egg in. I use the cooking sprays as much as possible. I like the Crisco brand better than Pam. They have a butter one, an olive oil one and I think a plain one as well. Pam and I don't work well together since WLS. Must be something in the ingredients so I stay away from it.

I feel your pain.  I was right there with you on Friday when I decided to try a vegetarian chicken tender.  I only ate one and about 5 minutes later up it comes and boy did my pouch HURT!!!!!!  Needless to say, I'm glad they are frozen because I can try them again in a few weeks once I've had some regular food.  Maybe regular chicken will be fine because I'm ok with chicken salad.  what's really surprising is that I can't eat that chicken tender but I can eat a triscuit.  It doesn't make sense to me at all LOL   However, give it time and the pain will pass.  Since you didn't throw it back up, it's gotta make it's way through your system to be gone.

Terri, I am sorry you are feeling sick. A lot of that happened to me when I was early out from surgery.  It rarely happens to me now.  I can not eat boiled eggs still they just do not go down right anymore. But I can eat sunny side up eggs cooked in non stick sprays and in country crock shedds spread.   I also eat it scrambled cooked with milk and it makes it nice and moist.   When you get sick like this stay away from solids until your pouch feels better usually by the next day.  Drink chamomile tea, mint or ginger to help your tummy feel better.   It will get better trust me. Hugs,

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

Terri :  The only thing I can say is that you need tosleep it off:  Eggs I could do about three weeks out and then one day they made me very very ill:  This weekend we went to breakfast and Dad offered to share his omelet with me :  I took about four bites and then  I just could not eat it anymore: I never was a big Egg person and I am so glad I don't miss them/  It is a day by day trial and error process:  Take it easy and rest and you will feel better in a couple hours

Terri: Same thing happened to me yesterday morning.  Sometimes they "sit" right and sometimes not.
