I was really disappointed!  We saw some of the rainbow signs and caught the end of a parade on Saturday, but no one on floats.  Only one guy, dressed in a blonde Tina Turner wig wearing thigh high red stiletto boots and red short shorts.  I was so looking forward to the big party.   However, I did sing in front of Simon and a whole bunch of people I didn't know at the wax museum at the American Idol display.  Simon told me if I was thinking about a career in music . . . don't. I also kissed Justin Timberlake.  It was nice to let loose and have some fun.  I acted just like a teenager.  I reccomend it to everyone!

Good morning Tia, I am so glad K had a great birthday party.   Today I am grateful for: 1. That even though my phone line is down due to Saturday's rain & wind storm DSL is still up and running. 2. That Gia has only 9 more days to go with these nasty meds. 3. That my house is slowly looking a little better each day.   What a mess!  lol Have a wonderful day everyone.

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

Hey Cira! Thanks!  All the kids seemed to have fun.  But the funniest thing - one girl, who's K's age, couldn't come unless she was allowed to bring her 8 year old brother!!  WTF?????  And they didn't bring K a gift, nor did another little girl who came.  It's not the children I have a problem with, but what the HELL is up with these parents???????? Glad your cell and computer are still working. Girl, I am so seeing a weekend with you in October or November.  Well, me and my Arbor Mist.   We have much to catch up on!!!! Hugs to all, Tia

It sounds like everyone had a great weekend! I am thankful for:  1.  I am finally feeling back to normal.  I have been so worn down and in a lot of pain for months with fibromyalgia that I had no energy to do anything other than work.  But the rheumatologist ordered a bunch of tests on me and it came back vitamin D deficient. Now I feel GREAT since being put on something to fix it.  I had the energy this weekend to clean almost all day long Sat & Sun, give the dogs a bath and still go out to a party on Saturday night and visit friends on Sunday afternoon.  2. The awesome friends that I have and that we were able to spend time with them this weekend.  We had a great time at a party on Saturday and then Sunday we went out to visit my best friends on the Eastern Shore.  She had RNY in March and is looking wonderful!  It makes me so excited to have mine done.  3.  It's a short week and a 3 day weekend..yay!  And we have no plans for the entire weekend.  Now that I'm feeling better I'm on a cleaning spree and want to use the weekend to clean and organize.  Have a great day everyone!  Tina

Tia - weren't you supposed to have a date this weekend.  I'm waiting to hear. 3 things - let's see, where will I find them.  1) My second job has been a life saver at times.  Did well with tips yesterday.  So, I'm taking off next Sunday so I can really have a long weekend.  2)Time off from my FT job - Making it a long weekend Thursday - Monday.  woohoo! 3)Friends that actually volunteered to help me mulch my yard tonight.  4)Kristen's crazy Italian family - it made me miss my own.  5)That the beach is soooo close that I can hop in the car on Thursday and spend the day soaking up the sun and be back in town to play Thursday night.
