Good morning!!  Hope everyone had a great weekend!  Mine was busy, full as always.  Darla, I'm so glad you didn't go splat!!!  Kristen, all I see are big red squares, so I'll close my eyes and picture the uncles.  Gabby's too sweet!!!  Aaron, I'm telling ya, size 40 jeans!!!!  Heathercat's home from the hospital, that's a great thing, too!  We're having lots of losers join us these days!!!  I like to see activity on this board!!! Today, I'm grateful for: 1.  Off-site bday party venues - OMG!!  We had K's 12th bday party at Skateland yesterday.  It was INSANE!!!   It was like Glinda the Good Witch had bestowed crack on Munchkinland!!!!  LOL!!!  The bday girl had a great time, and there wasn't too much prep work or clean up!!!  I LOVE IT!!!  When it comes to kids' bday parties, simplicity is the name of the game!! The ice cream cake and brownies I made were a big hit, too! 2.  Some of my friends got promoted!!  Singing, "Friends in High Places"!!!  Three of my friends were much deservedly promoted to pretty high ranking spots in our Department!!!!  I am SOOOO happy for these guys - they totally rock!!  Out with the old, in with the new. 3.  Music - Yeah, I know, I use this a lot, but music and books sustain me.  Anyway, I treated myself to the new Journey CD, "Revelation."  It features their new frontman, Arlen Pineda, who sounds a LOT like Steve Perry.  There's 11 new songs and 11 remixed classics and a bonus concert DVD - all for under $12!!!  The music is incredible, and I've listened to it over and over and over this weekend!!! Okay, that's my 3!!  Next!!! Have a great day! Tia

This past weekend was fabulous and I feel so grateful! 1.) I am so grateful to family and friends.  My family bond is so tight with all my sisters and brothers, I come from a family of 9 children.  We do not always meet eye to eye but we are all there to pick up the pieces and family is family.  It is amazing to me to watch all of us grow and now all of our children.  Family WOW!  My Friends are my constant source of being, with out them I would never stay focused.  Thanks to my two Italian friends, Karen and her daily kicks in my ass and to Dan who so knows where I am coming from.  2.) My gift of life, I think some days we take life to light. I know there is days I need a good reminder. Laugh everyday. Guard your heart and mind but don't hold it hostage. Look for joy and not so much sadness. Make a list and check it often of who you are and what you want to do in life. Negative people, what is there to gain, just stay away from that. The sun makes Vitamin D in your body and that is a good thing, let the sun shine in. Simple random acts of kindness, it goes a long way. Most importantly Love yourself first before you can think to love someone else. 3.) My job search seems to be a little more promising and I got a load of good tips from the big business man (my dad) this past weekend.  So we will see what I can come up with this week. 4.) I am grateful for the manufacture of Gas X, that is some good stuff. Careful to much will make you feel like you will explode. 5.) 32 days till my trip to Hotlanta and I so need a weekend away with good friends. 6.) Oh one more, I am grateful to Karen who saved my life Saturday night, that tree would not have looked good on our faces and not good for plastics either.

Let see today... 1. That I got up to go to the gym again today. Not to mention I actually managed to run on the treadmill for a while. It wasnt very long, but heck I am still celebrating the fact that even at my weight I can even run.....lol 2. That this is only a 4 day work week!! 3. I have less then 10 days till I go to OC. Eventhough next year I am sure I will enjoy myself more because I will be post-op then. I still really need the break to recharge my battery and spend some time with my little girl. Working a full time and a part time job, while being a single mother is HARD!!!

Hey Tia!!!  1)  That the weekend is finally over.  I work part time every other weekend, and it sooooooooooooo drains me.  Well needless to say, that was the weekend that just passed....Now I get to relax.  I work part time at Muvico at Arundel Mills and I also took my kids to see Wall-E and then I went to see Wanted the following day.  Both were great movies, but Wanted was A GREAT MOVIE.... 2)  Called the Insurance Company on Friday....heheheheheh!!!  My paperwork has been submitted and is in the pending status.  Just glad that its there.  The insurance lady, Rose, said she would submit it on Thursday, and that is what she did....No I'm just sitting here waiting to see if I was approved or denied....Let me just say, this sucks.  The unknow is killing me...lmao. 3)  Going to DVR's Support Group tonight at St. Agnes.  I'm sure I will get to meet some individuals from the MD Board. Hope everyone has a great day!!! Teri

Good Morning All! 1 - Getting Organized - I invested the time this weekend to do some serious housework and organizing. it is amazing how I good I feel after it is done! Plus it helped me get ready for #2.    2 - Countdown to vacation - it is now definite. I am going on vacation on Thursday. I will be visiting family in Indiana. Although we keep in touch regularly, it will be so good to see them in person. We have not done that since the summer of 2006. They have 3 1/2 acres outside of Indianapolis. It is a very peaceful area. The sky is so big and there is a horse farm across the road. I could really use the break too.   3 - Enjoying the happiness of others. - I can't say enough about how much I enjoy hearing about all of the special moments that the other board members have been experiencing. This past weekend seems like it was just jam packed with such moments. Thank you all for sharing!  Debbie

Hey Debbie - I've had good intentions to do some cleaning/organizing, but there doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day!!!  And I'd rather play, anyway!!! I'm so glad you have some time off to look forward to.  It's so restorative!! Have a great day! Tia
