DVR's Support Group Question

I am definitely planning to attend DVR's support group tomorrow night at St. Agnes.  I have a question though.  Do support people/spouses ever attend?  Is it acceptable to have them attend?  Hubby is very nervous and I thought it might do him as much good as me.  However, since it's my first support group meeting, I don't want to bring him if that's not normal.  Thanks.

Hi Pamela, Anyone who is supporting you is welcome to come. It would be wonderful for your spouse to attend so that he feels better about your decision.   I just moved to WV so I will not be able to attend.  I wish I could.  DVR's wife is a sweetheart and she will definitely answer any questions that your spouse may have.  Enjoy and take care.

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.
Those that mind don't matter, and those that matter don't mind.

thanks cira.  i've been following your move through the posts on here.  i absolutely hate moving and hope i don't have to do it again for a long, long time.  my husband and i joke that we'll never get divorced because neither of us would ever want ot have to move again.

I took Mom to several support group meetings preop and one post op as well By all means take him along:  His life is about to change as well as yours- it may help him make the life altering changes easier on you.   I have not been to a meeting at St Ag yet but I am sure he will be welcome.
