hi.
So my surgery was tuesday morning and I came home wednesday night (mainly because i begged them to let me go home). I had open surgery so it's really hard for me to sit upand stuff which I assume is completely normal. I totally underestimated this. Not that I regret it in the least, but I just think I underestimated how I would feel. Thank God for liquid percocet! lol.... no.. really I'm doing ok... just moving really slow. I'm having alot of trouble getting in all of my liquids.... or any/ much for that matter.
anyways... just letting everyone know I made it to the other side. :)

Congratulations on your surgery.
Just take it one day at a time. I am 5 weeks post op and still having a problem getting all the fluids in, it's rough you just have to keep trying. When you are able to it might be helpful to mix the water with unsweetened fruit juice, I usually do 1/3 juice and 2/3 water and this helps. Take care and if there is anything I can do for you, please let me know. Welcome to the Loser's Bench

my appendectomy was open, whereas my gall bladder removal was laproscopic, so boy do i know the difference. hug that pillow really close to you when you're trying to move around. that helped me a lot after open surgery. good luck to you and i hope you're feeling more comfortable soon.
