Vacation WOW's!

Just touching base real quick.  I am on vacation.  We are in Virginia Beach and the wow's just keep coming. First of all, we took the kid's to Busch Gardens.  I rode TON'S of rides.  For once, I was able to ride the roller coasters and fit without a problem.  It is so nice to not have a bar cut into my stomach. Then, today we took the boys to Water Country.  Let me start by saying I HATE water parks.  You don't know what's water and what's pee.  Yuck!  But I managed to walk around all day in a bathing suit and not feel totally self consious (sp).  Also, I didn't have to sit in any of the seats that said heaviest rider in seat A.  And never had to worry about group weight restrictions.  In fact, I found that my 10 year old (a peanut) and I weigh the same together as my husband.  He weighs 193.  Just a year and a half ago I outweighed him by 100+ lbs.  Still amazes me.   Anyway, vacation has been great so far.  We are going to chill at the beach for a couple days and then on Monday we are going to take the boys to Colonial Williamsburg. I did get a compliment at Busch Gardens.  My husband was talking to a guy and Dan (my husband) pointed at me and said "That's my wife."  The guy then looked and Dan and said "Man, you must be doing something right!"     Be back home next week.  Hope everyone is well.

these are the stories i like to hear.  i can't wait to feel "normal" again!  enjoy the rest of your vacation.  we made that same trip a few summers ago and those rides brought me to this board.  and my girls loved colonial williamsburg.  we did the ghost tour in the evening and it was pretty darn cool.

Congrats on the weightloss, being able to actually enjoy your vacation, and the compliment.  Have a great time, and keep up the good work.

I think these WOW moment post are truely my favorite. Being pre-op they give me such hope and inspiration and such determination. I would crawl into a hole if someone told me I had to go to Busch Gardens at this weight but next summer................WATCH OUT I am so excited you got to spend that time and really enjoy every moment of it with your family. And wohoo on the compliment from the other guy.....hehe thats awesome
