It's really happening...
I've been on the site...a bit of a stalker of sorts...watching, listening, learning. But I just must join in. I'm having a moment! I just had my 3 month appointment with Dr VonReuden and they're submitting me for approval in the next day or two. Wow, three months ago I thought this would never happen. This time next year, I could be a whole different person...visually I mean. Thanks for listening. Kim : )

kim, it sounds like if all goes well, we may be scheduled around the same time. dr. von rueden is also my doctor and they have been great so far.... except... i was supposed to be submitted two weeks ago, with an answer by today. i called my insurance company today and they told me they received it... yesterday. :-( not quite sure what happened. i haven't talked to rose yet, but you can imagine the letdown i felt. everyone here said "follow up, follow up." i didn't. and the waiting continues...
How awesome!!!! I know you'll be on pins and needles waiting for the words "You're approved!" and once you get your approval the time until you get your date and actually have surgery can just fly by! Mine did! I was approved in mid-August and had my surgery October 3, 2006! Seems so long ago now! Glad you finally decided to join in and post!!! Take care!

Comparison is the thief of joy!
If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished. Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago. I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits! Wherever you are in your journey ... It's ALL good!!!

I worship at the shrine of DVR, but I had my surgery with him at GBMC. I got great care from the office staff, completely different than now, the hospital staff and DVR himself. His follow-up care was incredible, too.
Please join in the fun, and everyone would be disappointed if I didn't say this - if you know any single men, throw 'em our way!!!! LOL!!!!
