Support Group Next Monday - St. Agnes

Sorry about that Laurie.  I have read on hear that some support groups allow everyone to come, but I guess DVR does his own thing.  Again, I'm sorry that you won't be attending. Teri

Ladies Ladies Ladies, politics politics politics...... DVR is considered a HOSPITAL employee and Dr. Singh is not hence the separate meetings. NO ONE WILL KNOW whether you are a DVR pt., an Auerbach pt, or a Singh pt.  for that matter, since i live in Towson, I've even considered going to GBMC meetings just for the convenience but I like the separate meetings for lap band and RNY that St Agnes has, so go there for now.

DVRs meetings at GBMC were open, and nobody once asked if they were patients or not. I doubt they would do it differently at St. Agnes, or that they would check. The program fees that many of us paid, or wil pay is what pays for those meetings, so I think everyone should be able to go. It's not like they hold a different meeting when more people are there, it's just a better meeting because you get more POVs and more support.  Anyhow Ellen, you should definitely come to GBMC meetings, they are awesome. They are also seperate, with lap band one week, and then bypass the next.

They DEFINITELY don't ask anyone who they are or anything when they come to meetings at St. Agnes.  I would hope that DVR would do the same just to keep lines open.  i mean, we all had to attend a meeting or lecture before our surgeries and no one said anything.   It might be fun to come to GBMC just to meet the girls.  I mean, I can SEE GBMC from my office!!!
