I know there are places online to buy these things but I want to actualyl try them on to make sure they do what I need them to do. My pannus is quite low and i want to try to lift it off my legs and get a better shape. any help would be appreciated.

Nicole:  I have started using the garments from SPANX.  You can get them at Lane Bryants.  They have just enough support to really make you look better in your clothes.  My pannus is low also and they lift it up (with some help with me repositioning it when I put them on!) but I look a LOT better with it on then off. (My PCP even mentioned yesterday that I might want  to consider having the pannus removed.  I told him "Not so fast!  I'm only 7 weeks out!" )  they run about $30.00 but they are worth it.  I have also heard that Target carries a nice compression type garment too.  Best of luck!  Deb

I bought a full girdle at at Macy's called Flexee ($30) and I absolutely love it.  I can wear it all day and not be bothered by it.  It really controls the tummy area and my upper thighs. Yes, as K9Krazzi said, Target carries a line called Assets (which are also made by Spanx).  They are about 1/2 the price and just as good.

i second the SPANX.  i bought a few at lane bryant last year and they really make a difference when wearing slacks.  i haven't found them comfortable enough to work on it though.  when i'm on the treadmill, i get that flap flap flap sounds.
