Questions about Christina Li..

I am looking for a new doc.. any of you had the lapband w/ Dr. Li from Mt. Sinai?    Do you know if she accepts patients if they already had the surgery w/ another doc?  Is she aggressive w/ fills?  Does it take long to get an appt ?   Any info would be appreciated.  Thanks

Call her office, her staff is wonderful and will answer any questions you have.  Dr. Li did my Gastoric Bypass in October of 06.  I love her, she's wonderful.  They will take good care of you that's for sure.

Kell, Can I ask why you are leaving Dr. Moein's office?  Is there a problem with him....his staff?  I had my second fill last month (2cc added to 3cc in a 10cc band) and I swear it did nothing.  I've lost one pound. Thanks, Terri

Some of the staff have been rude, and definately unknowledgable.  They told me that my insur would not cover the cost of the fills.  DVR told me the cost was 150.00 w/o insur and now they insisted on $300.00.   It was very upsetting unitl I decided to check into it myself and lo and behold my insur DOES cover fills.   When I called the doc office the office mngr was rude again.  When I asked Dr moein for more than 1.5cc fill he said he could go to 2cc but nothing more....  for crying out loud the band was empty its not like I had 7cc and wanted a 2cc fill.  He said he could go to 2cc but didnt.  My fill was May 15. My next appt isnt unitl the end of July. I called to see if I could have the fill move up and he is now booked until the end of Aug... so that means when I go in for my tiny 1.5 fill the end of july and schedule my next appt .. it will be  probably OCT before I get in.  He expects me to lose 1lb/wk with practically an empty band. If I felt I could do that I would not have gotten the band in the 1st place. I just dont want to have to wait for a year to actually see some weight loss bec the doc is dragging his feet.    also threw $500 away on a program fee and I cant figure out what program they actually have.   During one of my conversations w/ the office mngr, when we were discussing a  billing issue she just out of the blue says.."did you pay your program fee?"   It had nothing to do with the bill we were talking about.  I wont deal with rude people.
