First of all I want to thank everyone *****sponded to my last post with my concerns of not being able to get out of bed on my own. I wanted to let everyone know that I am doing much better.  I went to see Dr. Moen today and he took the drain out.  What a weird feeling.  Oh I also found out that I have lost 17 pounds which also made me very happy.

17 pounds that is Wonderful!  Yeah I will NEVER forget the drain coming out and getting off the ceiling after that.  Now the hard part drinking and walking and drinking and walking.  You are headed down the right road! Hugs Kristen

Hi Kathy - Glad to hear you're doing better!!  That damn JP drain was the bane of my existence for TEN days!!   At 7 days post-op, I was still draining a lot, so I had to wait a couple extra days.  It didn't hurt coming out, most of my pain was while it was in, from its positioning.  Once it came out, AHHHH, INSTANT relief!!!! 17 pounds is FANTASTIC!! Please keep us posted!! Tia
