Hi everyone!!  Please don't be alarmed if you don't hear from me.  It just means that I've been caught for killing my boss!!  I swear, it's only 8:15, and I've had ENOUGH ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!! Keeping that in mind, today I'm grateful for: 1.  That as of today, June 19, I ONLY have SEVEN years to go before I can retire with 30 years of State service.  I can't believe that today is my 23rd anniversary!!  Sometimes, it feels like I just started, other times, it feels like I should be celebrating my 123rd anniversary!!!  I AM thankful I have a job, albeit not one I always like, but it could be a lot worse, and I know that.  SIGH. 2.  That my sweet KB come home today!!!  Here's hoping they make it back safely.  I've talked to them every day and they say they're having fun, but their mother has complained all week that they've been bad and mouthy.  Hmmmm......wonder why I don't have that problem wtih them?  Could it be that SHE doesn't treat THEM with respect like she expects them to??  I've missed my guys SO much!! 3.  That Carnival Cruises have announced that they're coming back to Baltimore in September 2009!!!  WOO-HOO!!!  Come hell or high water, I'll be on one of them.  Be it  with Mom & Dad, the whole family, someone else special or by myself if need be - AS GOD IS MY WITNESS, I WILL CRUISE AGAIN!!!!! Okay, that's all I've got for today.  Gotta go find a shovel, some latex gloves, 3 garbage bags, some disinfectant and some oregano.  BONUS POINTS IF YOU KNOW WHAT MOVIE THAT'S FROM!!!! Have a great day!!! Tia

And THAT'S why I love you, Aaron!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Started working for State Highway Administration immediately upon my graduation from high school, and transferred to MSP 2 years later.  And here I sit, just waiting for the day that I don't HAVE to work, but CHOOSE to work.  Of course, that doesn't mean I'll be able to afford to retire, it just means I'll be eligible.  Still, there's something satisfying about knowing it's on YOUR terms!!! Aahhhh!  There's light at the end of my tunnel!!!  TRAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN!!! Tia

I was looking at her picture and thinking the same thing Aaron. lol  1.  My awesome boyfriend who is truly by best friend.  We just simply enjoy life together and it is really something to know that he loves me for ME, no matter what weight I am.  I could not ask for a more supportive person in my life.  2.  That I finally broke down and told my mom that I am having surgery and she didn't freak.  I was nervous because she knows a friend of mind had it and seemed so negative about it at the time.  But I approached it by bringing up the 60 Minutes story on it and how it can help with my diabetes so she was totally cool with it!  I think alot of it is the fact that she was just diagnosed and so was my oldest sister and neither have a weight problem. So she realizes that it just runs rampant in our family (4 out of 7 of us kids have it and it is on both sides of our family).  And she now knows what I have been dealing with since I was diagnosed 7 years ago so is really hopeful that it helps it. Whew!  3. That tomorrow is Friday and the person I share an office with doesn't work on Friday's.  He has his iPod in a docking station so I hear it too.  That would be great if he didn't set his playlist on shuffle and I listen to anything from Broadway tunes to Christmas music and anything in between year round.  At least he hasn't sang along to "It's Raining Men" in a while.  Tina

GOD BLESS YOU, TINA!!!!  LOL!!!!  I can thank my Mom for her good genes!!!! If you read any of my posts lamenting the absence of good men in my life, you'll know how incredibly blessed you are to have this man!!!  It sounds like he realizes what a gem he has in you, too!!!  Hang onto him!!

I'm glad you have the support of your family now - it makes all the difference!!!

Have a great day!!! Tia

Happy Thursday All! I have a busy day today, so I will not be online much today. Today I am grateful for: 1 - The scale - I guess I must not have been as bad as I thought earlier in the week. It went down 3 more lbs. today! One more and I hit a milestone. (Keep your fingers crossed for me! It should happen this weekend.) 2 - Tried some new things in Pilates Reformer class last night. Oooooooooooooo! It is a good hurt! I found a few new muscles! 3 - That I am taking the day off tomorrow. I call these impromtu days that I manage to squeeze in, my "mental health" days! I am soooooo looking forward to it! Have a super day! Debbie
