Just an update
8 more days...
I received a call from the nurse at St. Agnes yesterday..We went over some pre-op questions...she told me what to do/not to do before the surgery...
I feel I am very fortunate that I dont have to go on any liquid diet before the surgery, but I was kind of looking forward to it...lol...
So says the nurse...................
~Nothing to drink or eat after midnight the night before, but I can take my Synthroid in the AM with a sip of water.
~No finger nail polish...but my toes are ok...wooooo
~I have to be at the hospital at 11am-My surgery is at 1p
~I will meet with the anesthesiologist..and will go over a few things...I asked the nurse about On-Q...she was excited that I knew what that was..lol...and she said that would be an option for me and to ask the anesthesiologist when I talk to him...(has anyone used On-Q after surgery?)
~The surgery will take approx 1.5 hours, I will be in recovery for approx 2 hours.
~ After surgery I will be on a morphin pump for about 6 hours...Is this about the time I will be slathered with red lipstick kisses Kristen? lmao
~ I didnt ask when I would be coming home...my insurance company approved 2 days of stay..hopefully I will be out in 1.
Wahoo! You're almost there! About the ON-Q pump...I didn't have it the first go round in February. Was really sore. Had it when I had my sleeve and it was WONDERFUL!!!! Make sure you tell Dr. Averbach (again) that you want it. I didn't even mention it to the anesthesiologist... I just reminded Dr. Singh and WALAH! He remembered to put it in! It hangs in that fashionable little black bag so that will go well with the red lipstick kisses from Kristen! Best of luck! Deb
