Gastric Sleeve in Maryland

Has anyone had gastric sleeve covered by United Healthcare? If you have, which surgeon did you use?

I can't really answer this 100%. I CAN tell you that Dr. Schweitzer at Johns Hopkins does the sleeve and is having EXCELLENT results!

Revised to VSG (6/11/09) weighing 253...

Also can't help with the insurance question but, call Dr. Singh's office in Catonsville and speak with Latasha. She does the insurance part for his office. Dr. Singh is also having really good results with the sleeve. (I am one of them!) Good luck! Deb

Like the others, I can't speak to the insurance (I'm a self-pay). But Dr. Elariny in Viena, VA, gave me my banded sleeve and I LOVE it. I'm about 8 lbs under my goal in less than a year.
