Hey everybody!  OMG!!!  Isn't this weather gorgeous??!!!  Loving it!!  So's my mail delivering brother!!  During the really hot days, he'd gross me out by calling and saying disgusting things like, "Ball soup!" and once it got hotter, it became, "Ball stew!", "Ball casserole!"  ICK!!  ICK!!! ICK!!!!  But he's twisted like that!!! Anyway, today I'm grateful for: 1.  Weenie World - No, not my dating life, but then again......................!!!!  LOL!!!  Actually, it's a hot dog joint in....yep, you guessed it - Dundalk!!!  They have hot dogs with every kind of topping you can think of and although I'm NOT a hot dog fan, I like theirs.  I mean, where else can you get The Swankie Frankie?  A hot dog with cheese, mayo, tomatoes and onions!!!  Love it!!!  Did only one, and only about 3 bites of the bun, ate the rest with a fork.  They have "The Politican," which, appropriately enough, is a hot dog wrapped in bologna, "The Taco Dog," which is easy enough to figure out, (and yes, J, it DOES have guac on it!!!), and a bunch of other stuff!!  Met my brother there for dinner and while I had my one and a few sweet potato fries, that boy INHALED 3 plus an order of fries.  And yes, this DOES worry me - I've been gently and unsuccessfully trying to lead him toward better eating habits so I DON'T have to lead him toward wls!!! 2.  My Mom - I really can't say enough about this amazing woman.  She just is.....my Mother, my mentor, my biggest supporter, my ATM, my baker, my laundress, my cook......my EVERYTHING!!! 3.  That I don't live in the midwest.  OMG!!!  Those poor folks.  I hope the Feds step up to the plate like they haven't in so many other situations.  I don't get it - we're willing to help other countries, hell, even DIE for other countries, we're willing to pay athletes and celebs obscene amounts of money, but we can't get people out of noxious flood waters and shore up or rebuild the levees?????  Come on Federal Government, charity begins at HOME!!!! Okay, off my box now!!! Have a great day, Tia

OMG I just spewed a mouthful of coffee on my keyboard and monitor Tia! I will get you for the early ball stew comments!   Yuck! LOL Oh my goodness Tia Gino would love that hotdog place you might have to take him there one day! Isn't it wonderful to have a mother that ROCKS like yours? Can I borrow her? I miss mine so much!   You are so lucky to have her, Tell her always how much you appreciate her even when she drives you batty. lol Tell me about this gov't gets me sick with meddling in everyone lives in other countries and not even taking care of ours. What gives? Man that ****** me off! Today I am grateful for: 1. This beautiful weather because all this packing & moving would be a major PIA if we had to do it in weather like last week. Lets pray this continues until atleast Sunday! 2. For my brother in Cali bringing me back from the ledge yesterday. I had a major meltdown but he was on the phone to pull me back and remind me to focus. 3. we have only 3 days until moving to YEEHAWWWWWWWW Land!  LOL Have a wonderful day everyone.

Cira - We've GOT to have an OH get-together on a Sunday so you can meet my brother.  We share the same sense of humor and look a lot alike - except even on my bad days, I don't have a goatee!!! I'll be happy to take Gino to Weenie World before............. I KNOW how much you miss your Mom, and the great thing about mine is that she loves my friends, too!!  I've been keeping her posted on the happenings with you, so know that you're in HER thoughts and prayers, too!!  And YES, she makes me crazy - like telling me the wrong day for the flea market, thereby ruining my chance to sleep in!!!!  But what would I do without her???!!!  I dread the day when I'll find out.

I'm glad your brother was on ledge-duty yesterday.  Even though I'm always here for you, sometimes there's nothing like blood.

Hugs to all,

Tia

I met your brother briefly at the farm thing last year.  Would be nice to get to know him more.  Gino would love for you to take him.  I am not much aof a weenie eater well only sometimes. lol Thank you so much for telling your Mom and tell her I always think of her often. I would have called you but he must have had ESP because he called at that particular moment that I was breaking down. hugs,

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

I can agree with the weather, but the hot dog thing does nothing for me! I had a job when I was a kid at the old Memorial Stadium cooking hot dogs and I never fully recovered from that - LOL! Glad you enjoyed it though. Today I am grateful for: 1 - I have to agree on the weather. Today is a work from home day and I am sitting next to an open window with the cool breeze wafting in while I work. This defintely lifts my mood while I work.  2- My oldest nephew and his girlfriend - My oldest nephew and I are very close. He is like a son to me (long story). We went to dinner last night to celebrate his girlfriend's birthday (a real sweetie and I consider her family). I really enjoy the relationship we have now that he is grown. (We had good times while he was growing up too.) We talk about everything. We listen. We support each other. We encourage each other. I enjoy their company so much and always feel so happy for the time we spend together. 3 - I have to agree about not living in the midwest. I have never been affected by a catastrophic event like this and cannot imagine how horrible this must be for those who are dealing with this. My heart goes out to them. Enjoy the day! Debbie

1. That I have a short drive to work. I detest driving so I am glad I dont have that long of a commute in the morning. 2. For the radio and good music, even if I am tired or in a funky mood it always perks me up. 3. For sale papers!! Wierd one I know. But being a single mother I have to be very thrifty. I am a coupon queen...lol and I just saw a whole bunch of things on sale at the party store I need to buy for my daughter's bday next month so I am excited about that. I tend to be obssessive about planning things so I have been buying things for months for this party and with these last few purchases I will be almost done!

Hey April - The radio and my CD player is what helps me survive my hellish commute!!  You ARE lucky, especially given gas $$!!! Right there with ya on the sale papers - Mom and I LOVE looking at them on Saturday nights when the Sunday paper comes early.  Yes, I need to get a life!  LOL!!  When you're on a budget, planning ahead becomes a NECESSITY and a way of life.   So.....what kind of party is Jordan having?

Well last year I rented one of the picnic pavillions at Granville Gude Park (Laurel Lakes). And everyone had such a blast I did it again. They have a huge playground for the kids. A path that walks around the lake, and tons of ducks. I took bread last year and the kids had a blast feeding the ducks. They also have paddle boats which everyone loved.  The party started around 1pm and we didnt leave untill almost 7pm everyone had such a good time. We did a water ballon toss, other games and a pinata.....ya know all the fun stuff!!
