What are you doing that I'm not?

Hey Terri:  Thanks for answering.  Tuna also gets stuck for me, but for some reason the chicken breast didn't the first time I had it.  I cut it up in small pieces.  It seems like one day it will be okay and the next it won't.  When I had my meeting with the nut she said it is all about getting me back on solid foods.  These were the foods that would last in the pouch the longest and will sustain the full feeling.  I try chewing until everything is pulvorized and then swallow.  I take little bites.  I will definately try to get in 2 protein drinks a day.  I'm not hungry and if I try to force the food it makes me sick.  There is no way I can eat 2 eggs at a time. I'm sorry to see that you are still not feeling well and as time passes I hope we are both better equipped to handle this journey.

Oh my!  Half a chicken breast would literaly kill me!  I cannot eat meats still at 10 weeks out.  Either I throw up or feel sick for hours. I am no role model, I suck at gettng my protein in.  Just ask my hair.  It is all in my shower drain.  Seriously.  Cytosport makes protein water, as does Stacker 2.  I have beentryig to get more with that.  Also the Isopure RTDs.  But I add a stick of Crystal Light to them because it masks the proteiny taste a little. Also, I ditto the Whey Gourmet.  I like the peanut buttter chocolate flavor made with milk (some stores carry "skim plus" which has more protein.)  It tastes sort of like a melted milkshake.  Sometmes I add ice with it in the blender to make it more milkshake consistency.

Thanks for answering.  Some people say they eat chicken salad, some eat tuna.  I had a hard time with tuna.  I cut up the chicken breast in extremely small pieces, so I'm not sure what the difference is between a grilled chicken breast and chicken salad.  I am definately going to try to get in more protein drinks.  I do have and have tried the Isopure RTD's, my favorite is the Mango one, but they are all not really good.  I'll have to suck it up.

Oh I can't stand the Isopure!!  I like it before surgery but after yuck I couldn't drink them. I had to water them down it and they are too expensive for the yucky taste! lol

Lisa:  Have your tried the Adkins Advantage protein drinks?  Walmart has them.  They aren't bad.  I use the Chocolate Royale and if it's really cold, tastes almost like a sinful milkshake.  Four of them are around 6.00. These are the ready to drink ones found in the health & beauty department.  Hope things will work out for you.  Deb

Deb:  I haven't tried these.  Do you know how many grams of sugar?  I was doing SlimFast Optima, but my nut said NO, too much sugar.  I liked the way the Chocolate Royale tasted and I even added protein powder and ice to them and tasted like a chocolate shake.  Probably why I liked it, because it's not good for me. Thanks for the support.
