Tia I have a question what is Kashi L (is that the  hi protein cereal) ?   For me yesterday- having trouble getting all my fluids in, it is so hard when you have stop fluids for 20 min then eat then wait another 20 minutes and you are eating snacks and very small amounts.  Anyway, I had B- Oatmeal with skim milk, S- EAS Advantage protein drink L- cottage cheese and SF applesauce S- Cheese Stick with 5 mini saltines D- EAS Advantage Protein drink S- none.

Hi Terri! Yep, it's Kashi Go Lean Crunch (there are several varieties of Kashi cereals).  The only one I really don't like is Good Friends - to me, the box it comes in would taste better!!!!  The Crunch type is sort of like granola.  Even Happy the puppy waits for her cluster each morning!!!  LOL!!! I know it's tough adhering to the 20 minute rule, but I promise that after a while, it'll become second nature, you'll be able to drink more and you'll eat like a "normal person."  You have my word!!!!  LOL!!! wow...what's with all the different drinking rules?  for me, it's 30 minutes before and 90 minutes after!  If I had 20 minutes on each side then I probably wouldn't have any trouble getting my liquids and protein shakes in!

Seems like all the surgeons have different rules.  Mine initial was 30 on either side and obviously, nothing during. Once I was several months out, they said I could forego the 30 before and drink right up until I ate.  Thank God!!! I STILL hate the 30 minutes after!!!!  But wow!!! 90 minutes after, you poor thing!!!!!  The only thing that helps me deal with the after is s/f Icebreakers Sours - they make my mouth water, they're so tart!!! B - Oatmeal (I use the Quaker weight control oatmeal...yummy!) L - 1/2 cup fat free refried beans 1 tablespoon of salsa and a wedge of laughing cow cheese D - 1/2 cup Cottage cheese, 7 crackers (low fat, low sodium) and a wedge of laughing cow cheese I don't think I got all my protein in because I really only had time for one shake but I got all my vits in and almost all my liquids.

Aaron - I LOVE that oatmeal - it smells awesome cooking!!!  And I still do refried beans a lot (they make a spicy variety, too).  For some extra protein, use a dollop of Greek yogurt like you would sour cream on top of them (provided you like sour cream!). Looks like you're doing well!! Tia

I am sick of unjury, get some Muscle Milk, they have a ton of flavors.  I like the light mint chocolate that is yummo.  I put sugar free chocolate hershey syrup in mine and you have to check out DaVinci syrups that are sugar free.  They have a web site OMG Aaron you can have a different shake a couple times a day with the different syrups.  They also have Kahlua that is sugar free.  Let me know if I can help at all,  but try out Muscle Milk, I get the chocolate powder(GNC and Target) and LOVE IT! Hugs Kristen
