Hi everyone!  Hope you had a good weekend!!  Mine was nice, although I didn't get to sleep in like I wanted to on Saturday.  Mom had told me there was a church flea market she wanted to go to on Saturday, so I got up and got myself together early - only to find out it's NEXT Saturday!!  GRRR!!!  Mooooom!!!!  Anyway, we ran some errands, had lunch, and enjoyed our time together.  On Sunday, we took Dad out to lunch (soft crabs!!!!) and then had Gary and KB over for dessert.  KB are off this a.m. to OC with their mother for 4 days.  Here's hoping they make it there in one piece and have a great time.  I won't see KB for FOUR WHOLE DAYS - I won't know how to act!!! Today, I'm grateful for: 1.  That now that school is out, traffic has returned to normal on the Beltway.  It took me 25 minutes to get to work - really a blessing!! 2.  For old and new tv - I don'****ch much, but I never miss Army Wives and last night, the original Father of the Bride with Spencer Tracy and Elizabeth Taylor was on.  I love the old and new versions of the movie. 3.  That I was able to get some ironing done so that I could organize all my outfits for the week last night.  Yes, it's a sickness - but I LOVE not having to think in the morning!!! Have a great Monday everybody!!! Tia

Good morning everyone.  I had a great weekend, hope you did too. 1.  Got a great haircut on Friday.  Nothing like a new doo to pick up your spirits. 2.  I won $600 at the slots on Saturday.  I rarely ever go.  The only 2 times that I've been to Harrington, I've won both times.  I tell you we were only there for about 10 minutes when that machine says call attendant for payout.  3.  I was able to buy myself a new digital camera with my winnings.  I love taking pictures and mine was shot.

Good morning Tia !!! I'll take advantage of a few minutes to post today, because the next 3 days I'll be off-site in a class that will probably not allow any time for even lurking on the board!   We had a fairly eventful weekend.   Saturday a.m. we headed for the Fire Museum of MD for the 31st Annual Steam display.   There wasn't a huge turn out of equipment and the weather started to sprinkle so a couple of the hand drawn pieces they had brought out of the museum were quickly pulled back inside.   There was a beautiful pair of Percheron draft horses that were pulling an antique fire wagon and they gave rides (I didn't ride but took LOTS of pics .. can you imagine ???? ).  Of course I don't know the link to my webshots by heart, so I'll have to post that another time.   On the way home we made a Sam's Club run ( shocked to discover the Sam's in Port Covington is CLOSED !!!!) in Annapolis.   Yesterday it was off to Walmart, Michaels, Petsmart and BJ's for errands.   I was in search of some scrapbooking stuff to do the wedding album for Sandi and Darrell's pictures and Mr Mo in search of patriotic stuff for the Mack for the July 4th parades.   We were both reasonably successful! Today I'm thankful for ... 1)  That I am happy with who I am 2)  My health ... oh, did I mention I went to get my KUB before my appointment on Friday and Anne Arundel Diagnostic was OUT of film at Weems Creek ???   So I ended up running down the hall to the urologist's office and rescheduling for NEXT Friday afternoon .. same time, same place . let's hope there's film .. lol 3) Good friends and family Have a wonderful day! Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!

Hi Moie!!! Wow!!!  Sounds like you had a GREAT, BUSY weekend!!!  I've taken KB to the Fire Museum - they enjoyed it - although B more than K!!  Guess it's a boy thing!!

I can't believe they ran out of film!!!  Um........hello?  Isn't this what they DO????  Well, you DID get two hours of A/L out of it!!!! Hope your classes are interesting so you don't fall asleep!!!  That's exactly what happens to me when they send me to classes!!!  It's okay, provided I don't drool!!!! Have a great week! Tia

I'll post my 3 things later.  But, I just want to say that I am glad I am not the only one who gets their clothes together for the week.  Kinda OCD that way.  :-)

My stepson says I always need to be in control of things.  I say I just need to make sure everything is under control. Trust me, if I was't keeping this family organized everything would get done at the last second.  I am a planner to the end.  That's not to say I can't be spontaneous, but if I can get it done early, it's done.
