Update
Hey everybody!
Just hanging out here. I've been getting on the computer more and more and it feels great. I'll start posting to other things, but sometimes the enevery level isn't always that great. I am getting better and better every day, but soemtiems my endurance isn't where I want it to be. I can do everything I want to do and walk denver every hour. We've picked up he pace to where we normally walk, but then I can only do one or two laps instead of three or four. Should I be concerned?
I have a follow up appointment with my PCP.
I'm down to 234 where I started at after the hospital at 259 but went into surgery at 248.
Check in soon.
Hey Denna -
Glad to see you're up to posting. That is GREAT on the walking, but PLEASE don't overdo it. Keep in mind that you're not even a week post-op yet, and your body (and mind) are probably saying, "What the HELL did you do to me?" In addition to the walking and the sipping of fluids, you NEED to rest.
So if Denver drags you toward the bed, listen to the boy!!!
Take care,
Tia
Hey Denna,
Glad to hear that you are on the mend and moving. Being able to take Denver on walks is great. Don't be overly concerned about how many laps you're able to do this soon after surgery. They say it's normal. "They" being our friends here at OH, the nurses in at my surgeon's office, my housemates..LOL. Anyway, I am 11 days post-op I feel great most of the time and then bam!!! out of nowhere it seems, I'm tired and need to take a nap. It's like being a little kid again.
